  • Ka interview with PTP for the release of 'Grief Pedigree'
"It was a cold and windy Saturday afternoon in New York City, but the artist responsible for 'Grief Pedigree' was determined to not only hand-to-hand move units in wax and compact disc form, but to meet and shake hands with the people who've supported his craft up to this point. Filmed in front of the old Fat Beats location on 6th Ave.
In this video, Ka covers how he linked up with Roc Marciano and their upcoming joint-Metal Clergy album entitled Piece Be With You; going from Natural Elements and Night Breed to now being a part of a "new New York" movement; his "moments in life" rhyme writing approach; being school by the likes of Charlemagne and Roc in production; Sade's influence; and the Grief Pedigree .45 slug.
Note: Weather and street conditions weren't the most ideal for taping, but heads trooped it out on some by any means necessary shit, naturally.
Ultimately, this is the video companion to Passion Of The Weiss' grand interview piece with Ka (by Alex Piyevski of Steady Bloggin' fame). Head over there to read more about Ka's personal history, writing process, and a whole lot more: passionweiss.co... "

No wonder people have been waiting on the Metal Clergy album, and for so long too! It will be a surprise when it drops! Ka was wrong in that, I understood him the first time I heard him within seconds and I knew he was something special on the microphone. The real ones know! I personally still don't get the hype about Roc Marciano but that's just me. He's smooth but not exactly my speed.
