Ahhh ... that Ina Bauer at 4:31 gets me every time. I love this program and think it makes a wonderful companion to the 2012 R&J. Maybe it's because it's the first LP I saw him do, or maybe because I've always really liked this music, but I still find it compelling, thrilling, magical. It seems to be kind of love-it-or-hate-it among fans, though, and I was seriously starting to wonder if I was an outlier for liking it so much. It's cheering to hear all these professional commentators getting so excited and backing me up! (And ... exquisite performance, of course, but that should go without saying!)
Thanks so much for doing this and the 2012 worlds best comment video. It gives so much shape and context to the field back then. It's so wonderful to see the fight in him, year after year. He just never shies from the next, more difficult thing
