Haha love the scary music when you show the dirty microwave. Thanks for the video, my microwave is terrifying.
😂😂😂 same here scary music
Pro-Tip:
If there's still grossness after this method, dip your sponge into that nuclear vinegar you just cooked up. Wipe down as needed. That'll come RIGHT out guaranteed
nuclear vinegar..lol. Thanks for the tip!
@@seashells616right! I thought this was so funny 😂😂😂.
I finally did this earlier today.
Sumbitch, it works! Didn't even need to put the glass platter in the dishwasher.
👍🥳🇺🇸😁
Thanks for reporting back and sharing your experience. 👍
Thanks for sharing. This worked like a charm even with lessening the time to 5mins!
bowl MAY be hot? maybe? just perhaps? slight chance? possibly? LOL

Hey, it's America, a country where someone sued McDonald's for not putting hot content warning on their cups and won.
+PT111111 Yes and where a guy is suing Bethesda because he played Fallout too much and got fired from work
@@PT111111 and she should have won. The woman was 80 years old and almost died. That particular McDonald's had over 1,500 RECORDED complaints of their coffee being too hot, and maintenance records of the coffee machine being faulty (hence the scalding heat of the coffee). All of this information was in their own records! That scalding, hot coffee gave that 80 year old woman 4th degree burns all over her pelvic region. She endured I don't remember how many surgeries and skin grafts, and because of her advanced age, it damn near killed her. Then, after going through all that, she and her family had to endure harassment and ridicule from the public until the day she died, because she won a case that she bloody well should have won.
@@britendarkk8337People like you are the biggest problem in the world
@@PT111111please actually do some research on that case because if you did then you would understand that she had every right to sue them, and McDonald’s was in the wrong. They literally started a smear campaign against an elderly woman and knowingly served steaming hot coffee to customers long before that tragedy even happened. But hey, it’s just America being stupid huh? 🙄😑
That's the cleanest dirty microwave Ive ever seen
The only issue I have with this video is he didn’t beat that timer. What psychopath doesn’t open it right before it dings when they are in-front of it?!
Psychopath--hummm I think that is a little harsh. There have been many times that I have waited to hear the "ding" (& on the alarm when I'm already awake) but that is not s/s of psychotic behavior.
yeah I noticed that I make hot chocolate every morning and I boil water takes 5 minutes to boil a cup 20 ounces of water and if you leave it in there it will mist the entire microwave. so if you leave it in there for 7 or 8 minutes definitely is going to do a better job of applying your vinegar water mixture throughout the microwave.
8years later--- i just now did it & YUP , IT WORKS LOL
you don't need water it will just slow the process!!! just add etra stron vinegar to a glass, boil it, let it sit for 20 minutes( u can do it with an oven as well) and u just wipe.
When you say extra strong are you referring to the acidity? I have regular grade 5%. One woman had a 30% and it’s flammable! Or are you just saying add two cups of vinegar instead of the water mixture? Don’t mean to sound analytical. I’m just new to the vinegar baking soda natural stuff lol.
@@ChangedUpNowWhatid like to know the same thing! I usually mix with water so I’m not sure!
I just did this simple, easy way to clean a microwave ~ It worked like a charm ~ many thanks ~
Now you are doing it right.
This is misleading! The description says all you need is a bowl of vinegar but CLEARLY you need a rag also! LIES!
And two arms.
+teamtaka7 Yes, this is even more evidence of the media trying to keep us brainwashed and enslaved!
What about 7 + minutes of time.
+Summer Winter Yes, even more proof of intentional obfuscation by the media! Alex Jones was right! This is the first step to martial law! Tyranny! JFK! It's all a conspiracy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Free Elmo.
hold my L I have ti to try this
Short and to the point. Thank you.
CNET should warn people that in one of your better microwaves after 7 minutes the water/vinegar will become super-heated. 🤕
Seriously. Watched another vid and it was 2 minutes before they started explaining how to even start.
@@samwisegamgee8318lol! That’s why I be speeding it up sometimes.
That takes a long time and energy. Really you can get twice done just by microwaving your dish sponge for 30 seconds. It disinfects the sponge and steams the microwave.
Thanks for the hack. I'm headed to the abomination that didn't get cleaned the entire time I was in the hospital. I'd love to hear any of kitchen hacks since it is a gathering spot and source of joy.
@@ann-retiredhospital? Oh I hope you’re ok! How did the microwave turn out? I’m sure it wasn’t as bad eh?
This works! I’ve just done it! Thanks!
This is one way to clean an microwave and one has to choose what works best for them. I understand the reasoning in running the microwave rather than spray and wipe and this method works for me.
will it work just as well if i'm listening to viennese mandolin music?
i will let my mum know that cnet finally got her trick after 15 years.
Works well on the bottom and sides area but not the top area. Still had to do more scrubbing that was a bit harder. :(
I haven't tried this cleaning hack yet. Wiping the top always seems hard for me. Hope it works better for you in the future. 🇨🇦
now enjoy the nasty stank of the vinegar
Some people actually like the smell of vinegar lol Like me.
@@LisaTigressHardy Like me as well!
that microwave wasn't even dirty. tsss
Good tip
Bowl may be hot lol..... BOWL WILL BE HOT!!! scalding hot enough to cause pretty bad burns be careful removing bowl and dont let it splash on you
Drews Quick Fixes Ideas And Hacks Even worse big explosion. If accidentally or otherwise left in microwave too long to heat.
Bowl will PROBABLY be hot. Depends on what the bowl is made of.
Hmmm. Plain water has always worked very very well for me. Try it before wasting vinegar. And yes, you do need to wipe it down with something!
Love it
Love this style of video! Moar!
Sooooooo if it explodes?
I think that you would have saved much more time if you had used crocodile cloth cleaning wipes! they are really amazing! Just try them!!
why not just microwave vinegar by itself instead of mixing it with water?
That jazz was like musical diarrhea.
just cover your food when you microwave it
Nevva!
So what is helping make the microwave easier to clean, the steam from the hot water or the vinegar? I imagine you could probably achieve the same results with just the steam from the hot water.
It’s the acid in the vinegar combined with the steam :)
Yes, just steam will work, but it will take longer. Vinegar or other acidic addition adds a chemical reaction element along with the physical action. Just a little more efficient.
Or you can just mix the two in a spray bottle, let sit for a few mins and wipe down.....
But the steam it creates heating it up makes it soo much easier to just wipe out with a paper towel
What kind of vinegar are you using? I just looked in my cabinet and found only Mitsukan Rice Vinegar. That rice vinegar doesn't smell like something I would try for cleaning.
You just use regular white vinegar.
Rice vinegar would probably work, but not as efficiently and much more costly. Any apple based vinegar is probably most efficient and least expensive in most areas.
Better yet, save some vinegar, soak up a wet rag with water and 3 minutes in the microwave is all you need
I wonder if this works also in a toaster oven?
try and see
+TechPimp Yes, but you have to do it in a bathtub
+Todd Fury looooool todd
+Todd Fury trust me not as stupid as a maid i had that wanted to put toaster in the dish washer
+TechPimp Maid in America?
I thought CNET was a computer channel not a cleaning channel lol
Even worse big explosion. If accidentally or otherwise left too long in microwave to heat.
@@1eagleeyez/videos That's what the timer is for. There is no "too long" in the microwave, unlike on the stovetop.
That music! Ouch!
States without Chemicals - uses Vinegar
the technical 1
Now let's get real scientific on you......So is water!
When did Cnet become Buzzfeed?
Those cracks were still dirty
Please stop being some cavemen and give us the amount in metric. What do you mean a cup? A cup of tea?
Thanks. I’d like it even more if you let me play my own background music.
Really, my family has been doing this since before I was born
Damn, only if they had a million subscribers..
Isaac Abraham shid, I wish we did

They had microwaves in the 13th Century??
Brian B. Damn, I'm not that old lol
hmmm interrsting
You should warn people that in one of your better microwaves the water/vinegar will become super-heated.
Life hacks this a video like this a few months ago
Why did u use vinegar??
+Marciø Aleksandravičius Vinegar cleans anything.
+Cσℓє Łσηgσ (Vuze) Yes
Instructions not clear, my microwave exploded.
Not really much better than soap and water. Baking soda approach is no better. Not a silver bullet!
I just use washing up liquid. Just does the job.
But washing liquid is bad for the environment.
@@Time_to_Stop_Animal_Abuse why what do you wash your dishes with.
Vinegar is a chemical.
+fordhouse8b
So is water.
Cut a lemon in half and nuke it, does the same thing and without the stank of vinegar!
work better too
really?
How long to you nuke the lemon???
@@jenniferdavis6115Did you get an answer about how long to nuke the 🍋 🍋?

waste of electricity.
Is this some legrand? Should be mandatory background music for all videos.
or you can just clean it in 4 minutes without wasting water and vinegar. Lazy
Much easier to buy a NEW one
I thought of that too!!! lol lol
gene978 cos your lazy and thick why would anyone in right mind buy a new microwave when it’s dirty you don’t bin your tv when it’s dirty your house must be filthy to be lazy enough to bin a microwaves that can be cleaned in 3 or 7 mins depending on how bad it is
Nasty ass don't let your microwave get that dirty!
Waste of 7 minutes
