The working time varies. Sometimes 15 minutes is enough, but on paints and thicker finishes, more time is necessary. We always recommend "multi-tasking". Coat the project item and then go work on another project while recoatinf every 15 to 30 minutes. We don't wait and watch paint dry and we shouldn't waint and watch a finish remover work either. 😁

Hi Jamie! Thanks for your question.. Anytime you strip an item you will need to wash the surface clean to remove any remaining residue. This is also the case with QCS. With QCS, we recommend getting the 80% to 90% of the finish off and then, using steel wool, dip (into some QCS) and scrub to release any remaining finish. You can also mist the steel wool. What's important is that the steel wool is wet with QCS. It is wise to work small area and then wipe away the residue before it has a chance to dry or get sticky. This will generally leave you with a nice, clean surface depending on the scenario and the coating you are removing. After this, allow the wood to dry for about 24 hours depending on the temperature of the environment and you will be ready to start sanding! 😊
We recommend using clean QCS to wipe down after you have removed the surface coating. We also just released QCS Surface Cleanser and it works GREAT for the final clean-up. Some users also user warm water or even mineral spirits or lacquer thinner, but we would really like to see users move away from chemicals. Using those sort of defeats the purpose of using a safe and eco-friendly stripper agent. 🤣

I have a bunch of kitchen cabs with milkpaint finish on them. The cabs are cherry and the previous owners painted them white (!!). Would it work to use QCS, and then hit the cabs with a pressure washer to get the paint out from all the nooks grooves of the cab doors (obviously doing that outside)?
We always recommend performing a quick test before diving in. Your described approach should work well, but a test would confirm this. I would pick up our 8oz sample size bottle and try it on a small portion of of one of kitchen cabinet parts. There are many different paints and results vary with paint when using QCS. Sometimes it's comes off beautifully. Sometimes it requires more product and patience than anticipated. Sometimes it doesn't work at very well at all. It really depends on some different variables. If you do give QCS a try, please shoot some video and send it to us. We would love to share with other customers facing the same headache you are facing removing the paint covering beautiful wood.

Hi Thien, QCS was designed to remove the clear coat on vintage furniture. Results vary when stripping paints with QCS. Some paints come off beautifully while others do not budge or require a lot of product and patience. Latex has proven difficult to remove. I wish we could provide a more definitive answer, but we continue to listen to the feedback from our customers to find where QCS is shining and where it struggles. I hope this is somewhat helpful.

So spray & wait 2 hours plus to start scraping 👍🏻✨

What’s the dip scrub after the paint removal?this stuff is expensive and you still need to “dip scrub”

So what do you do with the stripped paint for cleanup? I’ve only ever used Citristrip and it’s a DISASTER to clean up!

Will this work to remove several layers of wood on a rope pull style window that is painted shut?

This product did not work for me. Almost $200 was spent. (:
Why don't you ever show the finished product?
In our videos, we are only demonstrating the stripping process.
