ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response it is described as a pleasurable tingling sensation that can be felt most commonly in the back of the scalp and down the spine but not limited to these area's.
I try to describe ASMR experience to people using something common like visiting a hairdresser, do you find the experience of someone focusing on you, the gentle touching of your hair, the sound of the scissors moving around you relaxing?
That would be a relaxing experience, watching ASMR video is like recreating that type of experience.
I believe most people can experience ASMR, to experience ASMR you need to find you trigger, common triggers will often be related to one person focusing on you or another person and watching this person focus or give them attention will trigger it.

Almost anything can be a "trigger' for a persons ASMR everybody is different, you just have to find yours.

Other ASMRtists need to take a page from your book. Most get too caught up in the tapping of objects when they do an unboxing/show-n-tell video. By you just letting the sounds happen naturally and using more finger tracing rather than tapping I almost always get tingles from your videos. It's the deliberately slow movements and slow yet steady pace of speech that works best. Thanks for sharing your creative outlet with us. Have the headphones kept up since you made this?

I really do hope that with time being a Professional ASMRtist will be a financially viable thing rather than picking up the scraps RUclips throws at its content makers. 'Deserve' is a strong word.
While PDP's content might not be something you enjoy, he does have around 30mil subscribers who like what he produces. How did he get them if not earned in some way?
Dmitri does great work, no argument. So far, he runs the most-subscribed male ASMR channel on RUclips, and his subs climb daily. That's nothing to scoff at, especially considering how niche ASMR itself is.

Using my akg's now. I've used them for over 5 years and always get them replaced for free on the warranty if they break. So great.
The clear plastic square shaped covering for the headphone was a great opportunity for an asmr trigger. It was a relaxing for a few seconds it was moved

Quite a kick Dmitri to see what rocks your world. Merry Christmas or something from all your subscribers and patrons. A few years ago I got tested by an audiologist who told me I cant hear the highest highs and lowest lows so I've been saving on headphones ever since. Hopefully, Quincy, who is much older than I am, hasn't had the same problem.

I have and love my pair of Sennheiser HD598's, but I've heard good things about these AKG headphones as well. I would personally recommend getting a small Fiio headphone amp but looking at your amp in the previous vid I don't think that's necessary hahaha.

Hi, I always thought you had the best quality ASMR videos on youtube =). I have a pair of ATH-M50, they are also great. Just be careful not to play too load music with them at first. You need to "burn them in", as with all new speakers/headphones.

I own the Q702's , there amazing.
Good headphones. I personally have Sennheiser HD 598s and I love them. These look good, only problem I would see is with the "type" of support the headphones gives your head. I'm not a big fan of the automatically adjusting headband, only because that makes the earcups a little tight around your ears. But I don't think I like that because I wear glasses, without glasses I don't think it would factor in pain around the ears, what are the specs for these? Sorry if you say it at the end of the video, only 12:45 in.

Save those air pockets, they might be good for a crinkle heaven video. I wish I could afford those headphones. I had to "settle" for a pair of Koss DJ100 for around $40 that sound pretty good for the low cost.
Do you still use these one? I want to get a heads up for gaming not one for a mic but once for just pure listening to the game.
For my gaming setup I use the Astro A40 headset which for the price ($250USD) it's well worth it and I'd also assume it works just fine for other devices.

Hey Dimitri I love your videos and everything they help me get to sleep but everyone always talks about these "tingles" and I've watched so many asmr videos and I've never felt a tingle like what exactly do I have to do to feel one I mean idk

You either have ASMR or you don't. It's not something you develop as far as i know.
There's no solid backing (at least by a recognized group or individual) for the existence/origin/workings of "ASMR" i personally theorize that everyone has some degree of ASMR and it doesn't have to manifest in the form of tingles. Everyone gets hung up on "tingles" i think the tingles are a very small part of the experience over all. I experience the tingles my self they're nice nothing that great (at least for me) 80% of my experience is a slower heartrate, deeper breathing. relaxation and eventually sleep. If your feeling any of those (or most likely all simultaneously) then you have "ASMR" until there's a thorough study of the phenomena for an explanation well never know if you do or not.
you have to believe and not try to fall asleep to experience asmr i mean just let it happen and believe that it will work in that way i think anyone can experience asmr
