How to Stop a Office Chair from Marking up Wall!

After getting some new office chairs with wheels we noticed that people would bang them in to the wall leaving a bunch of marks on the wall, so what we did was come up with a way so we would not get those black marks any more!

Did this end up staining your walls over time? Some of the other options I’ve tried prevented scratches but totally stained the wall so I’m looking for a non-transferable protection. Love the video, thank you.
