Jordan was my guy. I could care less about the city of Chicago. It was MJ and the pieces they added around him. One player in particular that I wanted to watch as much a Mike was Tony Kuco. Tony could flat out play.
Interesting that both players had a similar turn around J from the elbow. Worthy would put it in the lane as well, and would use his speed to quickly power dribble and turn for the shot over the defender. MJ would fade a bit more on his, like a real cool cat. I always wonder if the worked on it together in practice and who they were emulating from the 70s era players.
@@jordanbenson9094 Scottie don’t get those rings without Jordan. And before you say*Worthy don’t get his rings without Magic*, I’m not talking about rings, you are😂. I’m just talking about ability, and Scottie COULD NOT do the things Worthy used to do. AND HEAD TO HEAD??!! FOGETABOUTIT!! Worthy used to eat Scottie for lunch😂😂.Worthy didn’t have to put up large numbers. He played with greater players. It’s not close
James Worthy always was one of my favorite players. I just really liked James style of play. He one of the all time greats
Best young MJ story is when he beat NBA All Stars 8 games in a row while he was in USA team as a college and never played a single NBA game.
Thank you for the history, I never knew he beat his college team mate to win his first championship. I know he was beyond pleased.
Actually, 2 of them, Worthy and Perkins
Two greats!
I was fortunate enough that that was my first year at Carolina.

Scottie Pippin to this day is hatin on Jordan cuz Jordan told him,to his face, that he(Pippin)was not better than Worthy….
It's close Scottie for sure a better defender
@@jordanbenson9094 it ain’t close. Watch James Worthy in the final four game against Houston,Jordan’s freshman year.
ITS NOT CLOSE….
@@jordanbenson9094 Worthy got drafted #1 to one of the greatest teams ever. His greatness got buried….

They asked MJ his starting 5 he picked Magic Pippin Hakeem, and James Worthy
Jordan said in an interview his 5 are
Magic
Bird
Worthy
Olajuwon and Him
3:42 Pistons won in 1989 and 1990, Jordan’s Bulls broke through against the Lakers in 1991.
well they had rivalry in 1990 - meaning it was 1990-91 season, hm?
Watching him against Ralph and len bias
My Aunt lived next door to Lennie. He was a legend by the 7th grade.
Where i can watch it?
All of it
If worthy would have been drafted by a bad team that needed him to score 25 to 30 points every night it wouldn't have been a problem😊
MJ was NOT better than James Worthy in college, not in 1982, anyway. James Worthy was like a man among boys.
but james himself said that he was better than MJ for only 3 weeks.
