    ► LYRICS
    In the days of confusion
    You've turned angry and cold
    You say it's an ilusion
    There's no fire in your soul
    Say you don't love me
    Say you don't care
    But don't leave me standing here
    Your heart's like a wheel
    Just waiting to roll
    It's longing for freedom
    To get out on the road
    You're hungry for something
    That you may never find
    So many reasons
    Your love has made you blind
    You say you don't love me
    You say you don't care
    So don't leave me standing here
    Don't leave me standing here
    You say you don't love me
    You say you don't care
    Don't leave me
    Don't leave me standing here
    Life ain't been easy
    Full of passion and pain
    Told me no reason
    Why I was to blame
    Don't leave me standing
    Don't leave me standing
    Don't leave me standing
    On my own

    It's so refreshing reading the comments under these videos, so many people giving love to these often overlooked periods in Sabbath's history.

    Tony's best blues playing since the early 70s. Glenn Hughes has the perfect voice to carry this song. One of the absolute highlights from this album.

    This is a fantastic. bluesy track that really showcases Glenn Hughs amazing vocals. I always kind thought of this song as Iommi's original take of Warning; Since that's a 10-min cover of a blues song, and this is his own unique version (if that makes any sense.) If you haven't heard anything non Dio or Ozzy, you clearly missed out on some solid steel tracks.

      It's a pity that Tony & Gary never collaborated... at least to my knowledge.
      Ozzy contributed to Gary's "After the War" album, Led Clones is the song title. Gary was even considered to join Ozzy's band at one point. Makes you think what could have been.

    This one popped up briefly during the Tony Martin era, and I wish they'd kept it.
    Someone help me out here, possible Mandela Effect: I recall seeing Tony and Lita Ford jamming together at some point, and I could swear that a snippet of this popped up. Can anybody confirm or deny?

    • @richardhincemon
      @richardhincemon 4 месяца назад +3

      Tony Iommi and Lita Ford jammed on MTV guitar greats together and there's a bootleg recording of The Thrill is Gone around this time period. You're listening to her rhythm section on this song Eric Singer and Dave Spitz drummer and bass player on 7* .

    • @garethhayes2552
      @garethhayes2552 4 месяца назад +3

      Considering that Tony & Lita were once engaged to be married to each other (the relationship ended before the marriage took place). Then it’s EXTREMELY possible that they jammed together

      I don't remember a snippet of this song on the Tony & Lita jam, but the jam is on RUclips. 1984 if memory serves. They also covered The Thrill is Gone, which is bluesy (obviously).

    • @richardhincemon
      @richardhincemon 4 месяца назад

      @@TailedFeatureNo snippets of Heart Like a Wheel just a jam which leads into Paranoid and Heaven and Hell riff on MTV guitar greats .

    Tony Iommi's playing in this period shows the real development of his playing from the 70s. His fretwork that incorporates "running trills" was an innovation that few people could imitate. His note choice is also of paramount importance here. He "reaches" for notes whose intervalic quality perfectly fits the mood of the music.
