I am a simple man.
I see Tony Iommi, i like it.
That’s not why your are simple
Iommi and Gillan make a great team. I've always thought that Born Again was a great album. What a great collection of talent on this song.
Not just the talent. The song is amazing itself...
Indeed!!!
Iommi is a great song writer..and plays well too..
A combination of Deep Purple and Black Sabbath.
@@cbk222 One of the best guitarist in rock history.
Gillan might not be able to scream like he used to (which is completely understandable) but his voice barely changed a thing and that’s so cool I admire him so much for that, his voice is amazing
When I was a teen, the younger people were cooler than the elders. Now it's the other way around.
coz youre still the same ppl lol
Thats what you think, oldtimer! *rides away on a hoverboard while drinking capri sun*
So you always are cool. You are the center of Universe.
@james Yes, they are rapers and criticize the hippies that they were the young people of the past. Now, you see elderly people enjoying rock and roll and the image we had from the 70's that elderly opposed to the hippie movement and sent some of this elderly to fight to Vietnam. I have that fair that they say TURN OFF THAT MUSIC BECAUSE IT IS NOISY. Now on the contrary, they sat to turn it louder and they enjoy bands as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and also Judas Priest.
Don't forget about Megadeth and Metal Church, they are still making music.
Ian may not have the range he once did, but he still has that beautiful, unmistakable voice
Damn, Iommi sounds so good...Not to mention Gillan and Lord...
Scott Woods and nicko, he’s great!!!
It's like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Metallica and Iron Maiden all together!
Not really. Nicko isn't Iron Maiden, just a weak substitute for Clive Burr...
Scott Woods I've always been a bigger fan of Clive Burr but there's no denying Nicko's legacy with Iron Maiden. He is the eponymous Iron Maiden drummer regardless of our personal preferences.
And H.I.M!!!!
Who cares!!
Ian Gillan was Black Sabbath's vocalist for one album, Born Again, released in 1983. Some of my favorite Sabbath.
This sounds much like that.
So good to hear Jason's bass. Gives such a power to the song.
Flawless bass line.
Iommi, Gillan, Lord & Nicko - LEGENDS!!!
Tony Iommi: Still relevant more than 40 years later
How in God's green earth did this never become a fucking big hit?
because people would not honor this, let's be glad that only those who apreciate can reach for this masterpiece
Well, I'm a fan of pretty much everybody playing on this, but to suggest it should've been a big hit is probably a stretch. It's good, no doubt. A big hit, no.
@@Pold et fumus in tobas!
I fucking love this track,my most favorite musicians, all in one place. This is how the big boys do it.
"How the Big Boys Do It"...exactly right. Hats Off...
Being a huge Sabbath, Purple, Maiden and Metallica fan I'm a bit shocked I just became aware of this through Iommi's autobiography (which was a decent read, btw). This song is great! Jon Lord's keyboards are a bit drowned out by the guitars, but it's still unmistakenly 'The Beast' at work!
Every single one of them is a true master of his art. What a masterpiece!
Rest in peace Jon Lord. A true inspiration to rock music. Obviously God needed help with the keyboard!
I've never heard Nicko McBrain outside of the maiden crew.
This gives me a new perspective of him but confirms my suspicions that he is one of the best drummers
Stanton Nicko Mcbrain used to play drums for Pat Travers back in the 70s and if you get on here and type in Pat Travers live or just Pat Travers with Nicko Mcbrain it should come up ! Nicko has done some session work as well in the studio many years ago he said so yeah he's an accomplished drummer one of the very few who for years would only use 1 kick drum instead of the double kick that most had used through the late 70s into the late 80s ! Seen him with Maiden several times going back to the early 80s and always liked his style of playing !
Nikko even plays in an Iron Maiden cover band...when he's not playing in iron Maiden.
Nicko was in Trust, French punk metal band, before he joined Maiden to replace Clive Burr and later Clive join in Trust. What a coincident! 😂

RIP Jon Lord, Some great final work
Amen! R.I.P... one of the early pioneers of this genre of music. Key in the sound of Purple.
Tony Iommi's still a master on that guitar
Wow, fantastic song! Mr. Iommi is a master. I loved the solo.
God bless Jon Lord
RIP Brother in rock
solo starts, a chill comes through my whole spine! Iommi rules!
Love this guitar so much
I spend a lot of time listening to music, but somehow I missed this collaboration. Some of our favorite players from different groups worked on this piece. I think Ian Gillan really shined on it as his vocals were concise, and within his natural range. Cool to see Jason Newsted getting together with some of the greatest of the greats on this.
Wow...Gillian sounds so great...Born Again...best Sabbath album
Very powerful song. Guitars vocals, this mesmerizing Tonys riff. God Bless you Jon.
When I heard there was a collaboration between Tony Iommi and Ian Gillan I knew it'd be really cool, but I never expected this... This is beyond badass!!!!
OK...I fucking love these guys! They taught me heavy music when I was a kid (I'm 51). Nikko McBrain is perfect! Jon Lord...God love you, sir. Ian...you taught me how to sing. Tony...you are the Godfather of heavy metal guitar! Jason...just glad you came back. This is great music! Thanks!
I just discovered this. Excellent.
Great Jon lord, miss you.
R.I.P John ,the God of Rock bless you
John knows God Almighty and the Rock, Jesus Christ...
THE MIGHTY LORD OF KEYBOARDS WILL LIVE FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS AND SOULS
and I am thankful to Gillan, Iommy and others for building musical school in my country.
This video needs more views that it has! This song is amazing. HIM, Metallica, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden in one band? Sounds pretty effin' awesome to me!
Em 2021, revisitando esses feras!
Vida longa ao Rock 'n' Roll. S2

Ian Gillan met Tony Iommi, Nicko McBrain and Jon Lord, Mikko Lindström from HIM and Jason Newsted at a studio in London to finish recording a song called ‘Out of my Mind’, which was released 6th May 2011. This is for the benefit of the music school to be built in Gyumri, Armenia - a project Ian Gillan has been working on with others since his concerts in Yerevan (17-20 May 1990)
Fucking awesome. End of story. Ian - Wow - the lineup is so legend. I grew up listening to all these guys. Legends.
All the guys I almost worshipped when I was a teenager together in one lineup. Man, this doesn't happen everyday. Good song, good vibe. Like it!
Great to see so many legends together. Looks like they had a blast.
I only have 1 word for these man to say (as a musician / drummer.. !!!..Epic..!!😎💪
that gitar solo near the end ....lovely
One of my favorite songs ever !!!
Born again was total rocket album...and Gillan was the only ONLY singer who sung Ozzys stuff with his own style but GREAT...cheers
This clip is highly addictive.

Woah this song is a gem

This should go down as one of the best songs ever written , tod , . . .
Current Deep Purple with old members of Deep Purple and friends did a concert for Jon Lord called "Celebrating Jon Lord". I have got the impression that not too many people know about it. Have it a look. There are some excellt performances on it by all kinds!
Thanks I'll check it out...yeah anything but Country and Kid Pop gets mysteriously unexposed by the music industry. Sinful...
I had the pleasure of being there. It was a wonderful night and an excellent way to say goodbye to Jon. I have the cd in my car for singing to !
@@andrewludlow7477 I was there too. I saw Purple only once - in 1974. I have the box set of that Albert Hall gig. Just a shame to have to wait so long for DP's set.
This is why Rock and Metal beats everything
This is perfection
Just got the news from Bill Ward about Jon Lord's passing. This single is amazing. I wish there could have been a full album. RIP Jon. You cannot be replaced.
Es increible lo que se siente al ver y escuchar estos genios.siempre los llevaremos eternamente en nuestras almas .excelentes
Armenia and Armenians appreciate what you do and did for us !! Thanks!
I'm never going to stop coming back to this.
Here I am again...
The Best of the Best!!!! Gillan Forever!!!!
This track is so inspiring! They all are great every and together! thanks for Posting!
can never stop listening to music like this. Feel good...
most of the greatest music was written by these people so under rated like so many others
nice to listen to jason's bass again!
Great song with heroes! The end sounds like a typical iron maiden song ending
Ian doesn't sound nearly as old as he looks here
+Clayton V My thoughts exactly, sometimes eye and ear don't get along.
indeed, he have the same voice tone of 40 years ago, and poor ozzy, hes fucking wasted
How in the hell did I miss this when did this come out this is a good song
200 proof the That The Gods of Met
al still are serving up pure metal that will stand the test of eternal time as pure genius!!!
True Masters of their craft, Tony Iommi, Ian Gillan and John Lord (who passed away in 2012). Iommi and Gillan were together on the Black Sabbath album "Born Again" which was hail as one of Sabbaths worst undertakings. I think there was some great music on the album but it was terribly mixed and produced. If you listen to the re=mastered version of the album it is unbelievably good.
I love it!!!
That's what it is out of my mind i can't remember you bring me life soul together we fly like birds on a feather
I wish these guys were still together.
You forget that Tony also called his son in Law and guitarist from the band HIM Linde Lindström to play along.
This is a great group of legends together, a shame that it only stayed with this one track.
Maybe come back once more with Don Airey behind the keys to make a fitting tribute to the great Jon Lord.
Who's him just kidding
If Tony and Ian do a solo project together, they might get Don in - apart from being in Deep Purple these days, Don has played for Black Sabbath before - he played all the keyboards on the Never Say Die album.
I fucking love Ian Gillan. If this reunion with Ozzy doesn't work out, I really really really really really hope that Black Sabbath gets Ian back for another ablum.
oooh bloody fucking great didn´t think old geezer like this have it in them anymore
just brilliant so bloody god!
I LOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEE JASON!... =) IM HAPPY TO SEE YOU AGAIN!...
The Elder Gods
GREAT!!!!!
Best song mixing legends& masters of metal!
Legends. All of them. Awesome song. Nuff said.
Sounds exaclty like Deep Purple's song called "Soon Forgotten" from "Purpendicular" album. Especially the vocals (melody).
indeed.. but i liked this better :)
Sm0key90 sounds like the Scorpions Sail of chalice 1977 ??
круто!!!!!!
Again and again Armenia is grateful to YOU!!!
Listening to this always brings me this feeling that these legends are just showing all the youngsters HOW ITS DONE! Masterpiece 🤘🏽
FUCKING AWSOME!! Tony Iommi and Ian Gillian are the best PERIOD!! nuf said.
DEEP PURPLE?!
BLACK SABBATH
METALLICA
IRON MAIDEN
juntos, son mas pesados que el titanic...
CAPOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and HIM
Amazing!
This is so fucking awesome!!!! I just found this! These guys are grandfathers now - literally, and they look like it, and yet they're jamming the best heavy metal you can imagine. If I believed in a god, it would be Tony Iommi.
Doom Legends.
Одно слово ... классика тяжёлого рока и её бессменные учителя ...
does not see a time recently released music of this kind, simply the best, most new music with the old footprint, not to mention the excellent musicians who nobody knows, rsrsrsrsrsrs for me one of the best musicians in the world at least from my favorites .. .
Only beasts from the best phase of Rock in Roll
yep they've all still "got it" this is like an all star lineup on a song. I thought that was Jason Newsted fucking awesome \.../\.../\m/\m/
Jason Newsted and Linde Lindstrom my two favorite musicians
ГИЛАН не будет такого как ты ШЕДЕВР Хард Рока
This is Metal in its purest form. Without the talents of the majority of the guys in this band, what you call Metal wouldnt exist.
BEST ALL STAR BAND!!!!
Purple Black Metallic Maiden
"Hey Tommy, are you in the mood to make an epic fucking song right now?
Good idea Ian! How about taking that kid from metallica, and some guys of iron maiden?
Ok... Can i bring Lord with me?
Sure... We'll meet on studio in 1 hour...Bye!"
Imagine that conversation...
Pure Class as well as poignant
It took a while but it drove me senseless
Now they say I'm non compos mentis
Little wonder I'm still here at all
Staring out from the guilt free on the wall
It's what happens when you mess with matches
Everything's reduced to ashes
Now I'm lost and brokenhearted
My dreams had barely started
You're never gonna drive those demons
Out of my mind
I know you've gone, but you're never
Out of my mind
Still see those pictures of hell, sends me
Out of my mind
My memory's photographic
Some of those images stopped the traffic
It wasn't me, it wasn't you
Feel that it's nothing new
I'm not guilty, but I'm conscious
A bad net weight on my conscience
Another thing I have to mention
Sadly there's no redemption
You're never gonna drive those demons
Out of my mind
I know you've gone, but you're never
Out of my mind
Still see those pictures of hell, sends me
Out of my mind
I want a lonely life
I want a lonely life
You're never gonna drive those demons
Out of my mind
I know you've gone, but you're never
Out of my mind
Still see those pictures of hell, sends me
Out of my mind
I liked it
best song ever by far!!!!!!!!!!!
Put all of the legends together and u get this masterpiece
Tony, I play guitar for you... long time & forever.
