In the late sixties, I was stationed at Bickliegh in Devon. Myself and 3 other Geordie lads used to drive to Newcastle every other weekend in a Riley Elf. We always used the A361 which cut across to Daventry, then picked up the M1 at junction 17. Avebury was one of our favourite spots on the journey. I often go to Plymouth and still prefer the 361, rather than the M5. It's a lovely picturesque route. Takes longer but is worth it. Beautiful area. Love your vids Luke, often watch them twice. Thankyou..
Good on you Luke. Thinking of the Family and the young ones. How nice is That. Enjoyed your video as always. When ever you do you videos will always looking forward. Did my duke of Edinburgh in that area and remember the stones on our third day and walking up past the horse on the second day. Great walking in the area. Love the song playing whilst you were strapping up after pick up in tetbury.
Good choice Luke, nothing matters more than your family, being a truck driver cost me my first marriage and my two boys. I could only see them every other weekend.👌👍
Good luck with your future plans. Sounds like a good chance to achieve a better work-like balance and spend more time with your family, plus giving someone else the chance to earn some more overtime or a newcomer to get a foothold into the industry. Win-win either way!

Luke I farm round Avebury, hate the nasty bend in the middle especially when you have a heavy load on! The road you used when the bloke was shaking his head was a cut through if you continue on the road you were on which was 2 way your come to a big round about (beck Hampton) which allows you to go along the A4 to either malrbrough which is the way you needed to go, Calne and then Devizes. Just for future reference.
Love your videos! Used to be a coach driver, You seem happy going into tight spaces that would have made me crap myself. Like narrow lanes. I admire your bottle :)
Things are similar it seems between your patch of earth & mine. Nobody needs to get in a tight driveway till you need to get out. Then everybody shows up.
Great plan for the future channel videos, I can only feel sorry for poor Harry & Son who will be losing a driver for one day a week with all the revenue they will lose from that.
Luke, you could make your journeys motor interesting by telling where you passing thought and or what rout you take. As an Exeter boy who was a senior sales manager for STILL forklifts for Cornwall, Devon and Somerset until 1996 When I transferred to Johannesburg until 2017 now retired in.Southwest Europe. That single track road is wider than the one Scott took that load of straw to the farm above Brecon a couple of years ago! It's when there is a green line up the middle of the road and the hedges are nearly touching in the middle that you worry😉😂😂 glad to hear that you are a good responsible family guy, I wasn't so lucky with my Ex husband sadly😥

Yeah common sense says move over to Balance the load, (as I did) that being said the forklift has no obligation to do it, he good out right refused to touch anybody else’s wood for fear of damaging it. Then you’re stuck
Love your videos, slowly catching up! Weird question, what watch face do you use for your Apple Watch! I’m a 3.5t driver and go over high peak and country roads quite often and would love to get an idea of the wind speeds and weather in my watch without needing to flick through! I’ve found one but doesn’t look as clean as the one you use 🤣 Also, you’ve helped me discover a new career path I eventually want to work to, thankyou!
Well, we know where the flat tyre came from, a nail from the saw mill :). Also, it would be an idea that instead of watching you a lot of the time, can we please see the view from where you are driving? I watch "Justtruckin". He's a truck driver in the USA (I'm not from there, I'm from Manchester, up north). But he's very good. Maybe you could watch some of his channels, and get an idea? Other than that, I do like your channel, and look forward to seeing more of you
Great video as always Luke! The one day off for work so you can edit does sound like a really good idea! Just like the last video as well I like it how you show us the hitch up / drop off at the end of the video.
We used to do a collection down Nr Pewsey , Manningford Bruce , place called Pure Pastures for Pets At Home Stoke , 1st time we went we went on Double deck wiv a moff on the arse end , let’s just say we pruned a few tree branches goin into it , after that they sent singles down lol , horrendous place to get into in a artic , thank f##k Downtowns do it now 🤣😂
Just subscribed to your channel and where are you delivering too Pewsey, went to school there for five years a long time ago I know the area well,it’s actually a canal and on the right keep up the good work and stay safe
good explanation on the straps etc and you can put the excess strap in the plastic holes made by the forklift etc and around the pallet nogging if needed so that the wind cant pick it up etc
Great video Mr C...... I know I do... but he didn't recognize me..... of course not, you had had a shave and wasn't eating a sausage..... :-) That gate at the end...... oi, some flump just closed the bloody gate on me..... yep, that be you with ya shove in to outer space.....
