    This is a modern take on the original Girvin FlexStem.

      Absolutely! We were very much inspired by the flexstem and not only is it a modern take but also targeted at road and gravel where it is very well suited. Thanks for checking it out

    Would this work with a Gazelle ebike? Does it interact negatively with a front suspension fork?

    • @Redshiftsports
      @Redshiftsports  Год назад +2

      Hi Cadriver - thanks for the question. The stem will absolutely work with a Gazelle e-bike - in fact, it works with pretty much any modern bike. And it can work well when combined with a front suspension fork. The fork suspension and the ShockStop Stem are actually pretty complimentary because the ShockStop is very quick to react and highly damped while the fork is generally a little bit slower and is more for taking care of large hits whereas the ShockStop is removing high frequency vibrations and smoothing out all the smaller stuff. Thanks

    When will you have the 1 1/4" /110mm /+30 degrees/ Stem in stock?

      @Redshiftsports  2 года назад +1

      Hi Steve, we should have 1 1/4" versions in stock in late summer. Feel free to reach out to support@redshiftsports.com for an update in another few weeks. Or sign up below for updates manage.kmail-lists.com/subscriptions/subscribe?a=S3vR7c&g=SBDE3N
      I do have to mention we don't have a +30-degree version of our 1 1/4" at the moment. It is something we have considered and may pursue in the future but we only have the 6-degree in production. Thanks for the interest!

    Would this stem be suiteable on a Jones H loop bar?

    • @Redshiftsports
      @Redshiftsports  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes - you can absolutely use the stem with a jones H bar. The one thing to keep in mind is that the stem will be a lot less active when your hands are in the close grips since that position can be close to the pivot point on the stem but when the hands are on the other positions you will get an active suspension. Thanks

    What kind of discomfort is this stem going reduce?
    Is there any scientific proof that reducing vibration is going to make you faster on bike. Since vibration isn't a part of the speed equation there surely must be som scientific proof behind that statement.
    Or is it just a sales pitch?

    • @Redshiftsports
      @Redshiftsports  Год назад +7

      Hi MoP - thanks for the question. The notion that short travel suspension in the form of the shockstop enables you to ride faster is not just a sales pitch. There have been a few independent tests along with our own testing that shows how much the stem can reduce the amount of vibration and impact that gets transferred through the bike to your body. This in turn reduces overall fatigue so more of the riders energy is put into power moving the bike forward and less used to absorbe the shocks in the body. In addition, the rider can stay seated and continue to pedal over rough terrain instead of "bracing" to deal with imapcts - this enables you to not slow down and continue to apply power all adding to faster riding. But it is not all about going faster - there is a big element of just having more fun by by more comfortable, feeling fresher, and being able to ride longer. Thanks!
