- This video is a love letter to a lens, a lens given new life with the Fuji X-H2S. I loved the 23mm F/2 lens for still photos, but I never loved it for video. Too many struggles with the hunting autofocus. That is, until I got the Fuji X-H2S, which has an improved AF system. And now, this lens is the beast I need for my talking head video needs. Yep, it's totally reliable for autofocus now!

I just purchased the 23mm f/2, 35mm f/2, and the f/2 on the used market due to shortages of the lenses on the new market. I own the Fuji XT-5 with its massive 40-megapixel sensor. The photos look good but require some work in post due to the sensor. How do the still images fare with the 26 megapixel X-H2s?
Good Info. I have been looking for reviews on the F2 glass on xt5-xh2 40mp . I'm leaning more towards the new F/1.4's. But for less than half the $ for the F2 glass, a person can get three used f2 lenses for just a bit more than one new F/1.4

Does it make sense tp pair the xf23mm f2 with the xh2s or would one just get the xt5 to go with it if you really want to go light?
Good question. I love the X-H2s and would take that over the X-T5. I guess it might depend on the situation. But I’d go with the X-H2s 90% of the time. But I don’t own the X-T5 so it’s theoretical, at best.

nice video, thanks for posting! I have the 35mm f2 but really want the 23mm f2 for the reasons you mention in this video.
I own the 23mm F/2 and it is the tightest lens I have. Lol. I have paired it with my X-T2 and I use the setup for both photography and video work. I really like the lens and I keep finding ways to make it interesting with filters - pro mist, close up, polariser, variable NDs. I have pretty much chosen my tools and I am getting to know them on a deeper level.
Feel like I just sat through a sales video that was too lazy to even include sample footage of actual use showing the difference between camera autofocus and image quality.
Got the 23mm f2, but I still prefer to use the " kitlens" for just about anything. If someone wants to but a 23mm f2, mine is up for sale :P
