Your awesome sir! I dig your step by step approach. Your color approach is perfect. I wish you and your bob ross resonate with cats. Never built a model in my life I wouldn’t DRIVE myself. Dig this sir!
This video really comes in handy because I am building the AMT 1/25 Buick Skylark Modified Stocker. I am replicating a Saturday night short track dirt car so these techniques will be perfect for recreating a dirty & weathered chassis & undercarriage. Thanks for the excellent tutorial!
I've been watching for 'inspiration', I haven't been building in about 15 years, even though I've acquired about 20 or so kits over the last few years! Thanks for the tips!
Very informative video with regard to the materials used and the techniques to use them. It's the best weathering video I've seen to date. Thanks for posting.
Thanks Again Luka Cee, Prayers STILL GOING YOUR WAY For God's Speed in Healing n Recovery from This COVID- 19 Crap and Your Family's Health n Well Being. God Bless You and All Yours Brother.
Absolutely 1 of the best weathering videos I've seen. That frame looks just right! Now, I'll be getting some of those products ordered. Thanks for those tips and the video.
Looks fantastic. Wish I watch this about 3 weeks ago had my first go at weathering the underside didn’t go well. I’ll have too have another go at it now
There used to be a show on PBS named "Adventures In Scale Models" and one of the tips they used often enough was a "dry brush" technique!! On and around sub frame parts I find dry brushing tiny spots with a dull flat grey (mainly high spots) and even "flicking" specks of silver into those same areas, gives the look of "clean bare metal"!! Because over time some high spots DO have "clean metal showing" due to stone chips literally "sand blasting" (effect) on the steel parts themselves! Typically you see this on where the frame is "lowest" in the car on the curved horn directly behind the wheels...where rocks, sadn and mud is kicked up onto it!!
Another neat trick I have seen is to make a sand blaster out of an air compressor and a 16 oz bottle. Once you’ve completed the paintwork, you can hit the underside with the sand and it really adds a neat element.
You mentioned at the beginning of this video that you were going to also show the process of stripping chrome from parts. Unless I missed it, you did not include that in this video. Do you include it in another video? I am currently building the 1966 Chevy Super Stocker and I'd like to strip the chrome off a few of the parts on the tree. Thanks.
32:32 dip an old toothbrush in your rust wash and then flick the bristles with your thumb, spraying the wheel well with your mud and rust stains. Best way!
Hey Luka. Just wanted to commend you on your methodical and patient methodology. I have a question about chrome parts. What paint do you recommend for re painting high chrome parts. I find kit chrome too, toy like and especially many chrome engine parts and wheels!
You’re like the Bob Ross of model car building! So pleasant to watch and learn from you! Semper Fi!

Thanks for bringing this technique formula to the RUclips model car side. I've filed this in my tool box.
