    My son's one has been build in an evening last friday, including all electronics , and made his maiden flight (4min.30) on the next morning. In the hands of a full rookie (apart of few hours on simulator), it's a formidable machine!

    I bought the Mario 5 Pro frame for my first ever drone build. I printed off the instructions and while they could be a little clearer (typical Chinese picture only instructions) all the screws are clearly labelled for where they have to go. The kit itself fitted together beautifully, and as stated is solid as a rock. It was an absolute pleasure to build.
    I now like yourself have to take it all apart and fit the electronics. The only thing that is confusing me ATM is how to mount the Radiomaster RP1 v2 Antenna? There doesn't seem to be a dedicated mount for it to go.

    I just did the Master 5 V2 build, lots of fun and a solid frame.

      Awesome.. this one does feel VERY solid. I was skeptical at 1st, but by the time it was assembled, it felt sturdy.

      @@OneManUnmanned I pulled a bonehead move, I was testing Rescue Mode and I didn't think it was doing anything, I went to switch modes but I disarmed it instead....130 feet drop, nose first, fortunately it landed in a bush but I don't think the frame would have been damaged much. Now I man practicing muscle memory drills on my transmitter.

    hey , do you have a v1 dji air unit you could test fit in that frame for me ? speedybee told me the v1 air unit would fit in the rear but my concern is if the camera cable will reach the front mount

      It’s not a bad frame…I did not put GPS in mine, but the antenna fits in the TPU mount. You will have to configure the rest in BetaFlight. It is primarily used for GPS Rescue if you loose VTX or RX signal.

  • @Binkoro

    Thank you again. I'm sorry, I do have one more question if you don't mind. Since I want to install a GPS, it looks like I will have to install the FC/ESC stack backwards in order to have the XT60 come through the front. However, I don't want to do that, since it will mess up the length of all the other cables from the connectors on my F7 V3 stack. If I mount the FC/ESC stack facing forward, is there enough room between the stack to pull a long XT60 pigtail through to the front?

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  11 месяцев назад

      I'm confused about the last part of your question, but I just finished the build on this frame today. I used some electronics from a previous build, but I had to install the FC and ESC in reverse like you asked. I did NOT utilize the XT60 plug integrated in the rear TPU. I actually wired and routed the battery lead through the front hole. There was actually space for the capacitor between the front FPV camera and the flight stack.

    • @Binkoro
      @Binkoro 11 месяцев назад

      @@OneManUnmanned No worries. I figured O can install tue FC facing forward and the ESC facing backwards. as long as the FC is facing forward, everything is good. i just have to reverse tue order and direction of the motors.

    Been flying the old speedybee fs225 v2 for nearly 3 years now and still love the frame. Have you seen their mario 8 folding frame?

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  11 месяцев назад +2

      I've seen it, but it's not for retail...At least not on the SpeedyBee site. I think you have to go to Bangoood or Alibaba to find it. I inquired about it months ago, but was not available for review.

    Good frame vid, will come back to see it get its' guts packed

  • @juanfravg
    @juanfravg Месяц назад +1

    The effin capacitor slot is the worst thing to install. I hate it. Be careful when screwing the stack in place, as the frame will rupture the heat shrink and capacitor will short with the frame.
    It looks sexy as hell, though. Sexy sexy beast.
    It's definitely not a starter build. This is my second fpv build, and I struggled mad and blew up the capacitor.
    Also, be cautious when soldering the xt60 plug. Please make sure on the polarity of the wires!!!

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  Месяц назад

      I agree… I think Thats why I labeled the title that. Its a nice drone, and very beautiful indeed. I ended up putting the capacitor in another location.

      It is beautiful... But it was difficult to hold the mid/ bottom plates, keep the front camera parts together, and know what bolts to use during assembly. It did turn out great, though, and should be an awesome build.

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  11 месяцев назад

      Maybe not for you, or me for that matter, but compared to other frames, it's a bit more difficult. If you look at any reviewers that built this frame on camera, they had a few "fumbles" or mishaps, including myself. It's still a good quality frame and done, just not the easiest to assemble, especially with the not so clear instructions.
