Thank you. I was already collecting and cutting out the pieces to make an I Spy Quilt for a School Class Room. I hope to have enough pieces to make at least two of these quilts. More would be even better. Thank you for this video.
I so love ISpy quilts. They’re just so happy and full of endless entertainment with the grands. Thanks Miss Di, now you gave me a project to do this afternoon with the 6 grands we pick up from school. Time to dig out the scraps and let them pick out their favorites. 😊😊 Have a marvelous weekend! The weather is finally getting great! Hugs to the fam. 🤗🤗🤗
Yes, they are the perfect grandchild quilt 😍. This one will be going to Miss Michelle because she didn’t have enough quilts, 😂 Have a great weekend and if you have a minute pls ansr my email.
It is huge fun to do Eye Spy fabric swaps with friends! Three of us collected appropriate fabrics over a year, cut them into squares and then sent each other packs. Tons o' fun.
I too love I Spy 🕵️♀️ quilts. I have made a few of them and I love the rainbow affect and using low volume in between. Thank you for the great tips on sewing the rows double pinning very clever Di. Have a happy Mothers Day❣️💕
I have made many I Spy quilts for baby quilts for many years. I do a 9 patch that I sash with a color of the dominant color in the blocks. Most of the time I have made the quilts to be 9 nine patches. The biggest I spy I made was a California king quilt for a 25 year old! I make mine with 5” squares too! I have a huge stash of fabrics! I always make mine with a white block sashing as the center of the quilt and the center of the 9 patch is a “cross”fabric! You have some great fabrics! Will have to watch this video again! One of my favorite fabric was some “bandaids” that a friend gave me some!
I’ve made many I-spy quilts, so fun to make and give! I always learn something new from you! Love your colored pinning technique! I can use this in so many ways! Thanks Di! 👏🏻
Have started collecting material from my quilting group. Is using the economy block which is a 4 invented block surrounded by 2 in blocks that will have black washing in between. Can't wait to get it all togther! The fun is in the hunt!
I have made eye spy quilts for each of my grandchildren 1 of them was straight squares1 of them was a disappearing four patch and 1 of them was a disappearing ninepatch and they all turned out great
Kathy had it right. The name, low volume, is an industry term referring the the low volume of ink that’s printed on fabric opposed to a print that is very saturated with color. At least that how I understand it. For a graphic picture check out my heart video, the background is all low volume. ruclips.net/video/Yk4xelzUX7U/видео.html Thanks for watching 😊🐥❣️

Thank you Esther TFW❣️
Thank you for the video. Do you use batting with cuddle backing?
I do, a lightweight poly in fact. I know a lot of quilters don't but I like the finished look with batting better.
Thanks for asking Lisa.
LOVE these!! 💜💜
Thank you Sue and thanks for watching 😊❤️🐥
How fun! 😊
Thanks Connie 👁️🕵️♀️🔍

❤❤
👁️🕵️♀️, 👁️🕵️♀️😊🐥
Where in Idaho is your quilt retreat? I am in Bend, Or. thank you…😊🧵🪡
Albion, ID. Another lady came from your area and is looking for someone to carpool with next year. I hope to see you there.
Thanks core watching, Di
👍❤️😊
👍🏼👁️🕵️♀️😊🐥
What do you mean “ low volume “?
Think ‘light, medium and dark’ fabric. Low volume would be the light fabric without any highly contrasting prints on it.
@@kathymorgan8453 thank you!

Thanks for watching 😊🐥❣️
I started out with everything exact.. ended up - NOT exact!
It’s hard for sure. The smaller the block, the more seams. More seams = more opportunities to make mistakes. It’s a racket😂🤣😂 TFW😊♥️🐥
