I love and make pixelart as a hobby and it’s so weird how you feel the need to make a game after creating a piece. Probably because ideas flood your head of how the game could incorporate everything. Hey, I really love your work, I don't even make pixel art lol. SUGGESTION: Can you perhaps do a series where you take suggestions from us and make shorter videos perhaps about them, seeing that it would be 1 object. Or maybe you can draw a few suggestions in one art piece. But part of the idea is that we'd give you things that we might think are impossible to draw as pixel art, or maybe it's something we struggle with ourselves and would like to see how someone else would go about drawing it.

I started of course with a ✏️ but then dabbled with painting, markers, india ink, oil paints, then early 2000s is when I started hitting up the digital realm but always hand drew and still do. I think you adapt to your mediums by allowing ones self to experiment with techniques.

Great stuff. I know you're not interested in games but would love to see you working with the constraints of an actual game. Things like needing to fit to the tile grid and how collision is done on tiles not individual pixels really places a lot of constraints on your work that you don't need to worry about in these freeform pieces and it'd be really interesting to see you try it and hear your thoughts on doing that.
And if you do wanna forray in to gamedev there's gonna be plenty of people watching, including me who'd love to push your pixels about or just be around to help.

You should do a piece with the limitations of a Gameboy cartridge in the Gameboy color, where the sprites or Sprite like things have a four color pallette, and the backgrounds have a different four color pallette, you could even work with one of the actual pallettes on the game boy color

I made this one with a focus on a singular 4-color Super Gameboy palette: ruclips.net/video/PdXpUIATzO0/видео.html - but didn't take into account the option of alternative palette for the sprite vs background, that seems like the logical sequel vid to make now :D

Question: Have there been any pieces of work that you regret? Or maybe any works that you feel you could have done way better on?

No never regretted any - each thing you make gives you a small piece of experience, and it's a privilege to be able to look back at old work and recognize things you could have done better - it means that you're better now than you were at that time to even recognize those shortcomings. Sometimes I'll remake older pieces though just to have fun improving on it :)

If you want to do Mega Mania! You gotta show 'em a visual concept for it and perhaps a project plan how to actually develop the game! ^^ Good luck with that!

Hey Brandon! I really enjoy your videos and they have inspired me alot. I have tried making isometric pixel art but i have strugled a bit. Maybe you could cover that in another video if posible.

Hey Brandon! ^^ I can't take credit for the suggestion, but it was mentioned by another user, Auxence Fromont, that it would be cool to see you do a Game Jam!
I think that would be a brilliant idea in terms of content and just seeing you figure it out! There is no doubt a good bunch of pixel artists that are nervous to do a Game Jam. Seeing you give it a shot could most certainly give those people the inspiration they need! I hope you consider it. 😁
Itch.io has a massive Game Jam list. But! I gotta represent my own community! 😝 Godot Wild Jam is a great Jam with a larger time frame and it occurs once a month. Hope to see you there!
