I will never forgive the behavior of those that disrespected our soldiers during and after the Vietnam war. That war ended a couple years before I was born, but my father always taught my brother and myself to honor and respect anyone brave enough to fight for this country. I have so much respect for all veterans, they have all made sacrifices that most of us cannot even comprehend. The Vietnam veterans have a special place in my heart, though. So many men and women served their country because they believed in the cause, sadly many of them never made it back home. For those that did, they were treated horribly and those that took part in that despicable act should never be forgiven. I hope those people were forced to think about their behavior every single day and live immense guilt because of it. Thank you for your service Pat

As an Australian. I can only say I wish we had such a thing as these Honour Flights, so many of our veterans pass away un-noticed, it is truly such an emotional thing for me. This young lady is a class act, to carry on overcome by extreme emotion, I salute you.
I accompanied my Dad on Montana's inaugural Honor Flight in June 2012 to take WW2 veterans to DC to see their memorial as well as many other memorials and DC sites. I saw the same dignity and humbleness in so many of those veterans that I saw in my Dad every day; truly they are America's Greatest Generation. Brought tears to my eyes and a tightness to my throat to think of what they went through and what they witnessed. And I was also so impressed with the cadre of the volunteers and businesses who made the trip possible, an unbelievable organization and amazing coordination that made the trip run so smoothly for about 80 veterans well up in their years (my Dad was 91 at that time). God Bless 'Em all!!
