  • There is no better feeling in golf than getting perfect contact with your driver and golf ball, we can all do this now and then but this is a new addictive way to square the club face and stop your slice. It is all based on the toe of your driver and how this makes contact with the golf ball. For many amateurs that doesn't happen often enough and as a result can often slice the golf ball, however, this method is now used by over 70% of my clients and has become addictive to prevent them from hitting a slice.
In this video I teach you how to stop your slice, hit your driver longer, square the club face and add easy distance with your driver, which means you will be hitting more fairways and reducing your handicap.
There are a few essential parts that need to be in place and so i run you through step by step just how to achieve those giving you those perfectly struck shots and they are addictive!!
All golfer's want to hit driver straight but unfortunately 90% of all golfers slice the golf ball. In this golf lesson you are going to learn the following:
    1. How to align your driver face
    2. How a tweak to your set up combined with 👇
    3. Grip
    4. Toe position of your driver face
    5. How to gain easy distance with your driver

I’m confused. When you check the toe after the ball you turn your body to get the club face square, then you turn you body back to where it was at set up and grip the club again. Is this correct?

330, why hit driver. When it’s tight like this why not a 3-4 iron 220-230 ish ? If I was having issues with my driver that day.

Hi Alex, this is a great check point. However, if your backswing is rubbish, then this won’t really work and just introduce another potential band-aid. If a player has a swing that resembles yours and still hooks or slices then yes this is a big chuck of gold as it’s a final checkpoint. As a natural slicer decades ago, I was originally taught (incorrectly and in Cricket talk) to hit my driver as if I was aiming its follow through to long off.

Alex, I occasionally miss hit the driver (or an iron) after club/ball impact due to the club ??turning?? In my hand/grip. My clubs are all pretty new, so I don't think it's the grips? Thoughts? I'm trying not to have a death grip....so disturbing when it happens...

If you accidentally hit way off the toe or heel you will feel the twist. Newer drivers or game improvement irons are supposed to reduce this effect. All the companies using terms like forgiveness or more specifically higher MOI are talking about what you describe. I remember Alex teaching how to hit the center more often by swinging between two narrowly placed tees or by using powdery foot spray on the club face to see where we are hitting on the face.

I believe most golfers slice because their clubface is OPEN to PATH
… NOT because the clubface is open to your target.
That is, clubface is square to target, but the PATH is OUTSIDE-IN
So the issue with most golfers is PATH, not clubface
… OVER the TOP (swinging with the upper body) being the most common cause
Thus focusing on closing the toe of the club will only result in PULLS or PULL-HOOKS 😩
    Right? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Swing path (out to in) will create a slice that may have come off a square face. Two things to worry about; squareness and path. Not just squareness of the face.

  • @The-OC
    @The-OC 3 месяца назад

Damn it..... If you'd have drawn it a meter or so more, you'd have caught the pathway and got another 50 yards out of it.! 😅😉

This is great but I think swing plane is also important to focus on. You want that blurred visual of the driver head in your practice swing at impact zone to pass through on a slight in to out plane nice a square.

Got a question that I don't know if you've ever addressed or if it's even possible to address because it's quite vague...
But how do you become more consistent? I can play good golf. Recently I'm bouncing between 10-12 handicap but I've shot a 76 (+6) as well as a few other rounds in the 80s. My problem is that I can still just as easily shoot a 90-95 round as well.
I guess my question is how do you get to a point with your swing where it's simply a repeatable feel all the time and you know exactly what sort of shot it'll deliver?
One day I might have a draw/hook, the next it could be a fade/slice but I feel as if I've done the same on both days. It's really bothering me and I just want to be able to work towards a steady, consistent swing.

Everything you said is correct and helpful but for me learning where my trail palm is facing at impact or feeling I need to twist my left wrist works better. Manipulating the toe of the club at 100 mph seems more difficult than manipulating the grip/handle of the club.

    • @rickwilliams6922

thats all hes doing is turning his wrist. duh, lol

You know that, I know that. Imagine someone coming out to in, hitting a pull slice, and trying to make the toe go faster to fix it. It's going to be a massive pull.

Is it better to point the left elbow toward the target in the address position? Or is it correct to have both the inside of the right and left elbow folds facing forward? Please explain.
