Went from knowing nothing about rotary engines to really curious, anytime you want to drop knowledge about them I’d watch for sure. Plus repurposed rangers are always a good time.
Most people dont know but 98 and up rangers have like a inch or two longer frame and cab. Pay attention to the part of the cabs between door and bed next time you see one. At least it's this way in america. Lol
Glad someone is doing a newer body style with the rotary.. I’m finishing up my 95 b2300 with a 13b turbo build as far as I know we should be the only ones with the newer body style with the rotary swap
Definitely a different swap with a dorito powered 12a under the hood of the 'Stranger' as my buddies and I call em. You should do a Bridgeport and an F.I. conversion on it. Apparently guys are running the Holley Sniper on them even. Pretty damn fool proof way to ditch the carb and make some more power out of it. Sick ass swap either way and you gained yourself a sub. 😉👍
I had an 84 RX7 with the 12A and it was alot of fun to drive. Forget the fact that it went nowhere, but revving it out and hearing the sound of the Wankel engine made that car feel...quick. It handled well and felt fun.
Awsome to see another guy swapping a little 12a. Hey it looks like your carb is switched the wrong way around make sure your primary ports on your carb go to the correct ports on your manifold. I had that issue lol

Ran it 180 degrees out of timing for 3 years got that fixed and she was back just minty as fuck. What a solid engine. Miss that truck a lot

Dunno if they still make Carter carbs, but that's a nice carb with a rebuild. Pretty much any parts or rebuild kits that are for Edelbrock carbs will fit it.
Now I’m certain you’re a compressor mechanic lol. Thought I saw a Superior piston in one of your older videos, now see the Ariel and Arrow signs hanging in the garage as well as the use of a Motortech timing light.
That Dorito motor sounds pretty mean Bud!. The little blue Ranger does a pretty savage burnout for zero compression, I love the quad muffler. F*ckin Mint👌
once ya get tired of the 100hp (stock) 12a and move on to a 13b with a hair drier, instead of putting the 12a in the forget pile, look into peripheral port rotary's, they basically hole saw an intake port at the perfect spot and angle directly in the rotor housing, then (after sealing the water jacket obviously) bolt on a carb, goes from 100hp to 250-300hp, all from 70 cubic inches
Can I have some of that snow? We had a warm up and all the shit ton of snow we had melted so now we have about a foot of ice snow. Finally got a sled and put insurance on it so I could trail ride and the snow melted 2 days later.
Now only if you could put Rob's rotary motor in that thing it would really be a blast. Maybe something truly different especially for your channel being everything is diesel but you got my attention.
What's the axle code? Looked like a one wheel peel but I saw the other tire trying... Prolly want the rear from either an F7 axle code (7.5" L/S, 4.10 gearing) or R8 axle code (8.8" L/S, 4.56 gearing), just on account of rotaries making pitiful low end torque. Also, well executed j-turn there, the power out earned you a 10/10 from me.
I had a crap box 97 ranger and a spare 13b from my FC that I turbo swapped. I was SOOO damn close to doing this, but I ended up selling the truck. Still have the engine tho. I want a B2200 to be the host.

Rotary engines run hot as hell. She needs a good radiator and big oil cooler to stay alive. Yes the N/A needs them too.

Don’t forget to mix a little 2 stroke oil in the fuel. Never burn a Apex seal. Sounds nasty. Love it
Carter carbs are now edelbrock I believe, excellent job man, keep it up and channel will blow up bud.

Just some guidance, never rev a rotary while its cold, and its normall for a newly rebuilt engine to have some idling problems sometimes
