Awesome father and son time! 👍🏽 I will return in Iceland this July and redo the Laugavevur trail. 1st time was in 2018 but I didn't have a drone and my action camera was faulty. I will also bring my bike and cycle other parts of Iceland.
What a beautiful video! In three years, I want to walk from the lighthouse in Vik to the lighthouse in Hraunhafnartangi. Can you tell me when you made this trip? Which month? What tent did you use? Kind regards, Michael
We ran into a solo hiker going opposite our direction (North to South) who was doing just that. He said it was spectacular, but you really need to pay attention to water sources in the north. The interior of the country is very dry and can have long stretches without water sources. We used a Black Diamond I-Tent. It’s a bit heavy (5 lbs) and not very spacious, but fully waterproof and dust proof if fully zipped up. I would avoid an ultralight tent with a lot of ventilation as the winds will blow rain and/or dust into your tent. In some places, you’ll get very wet, in other places you’ll be covered with dust by morning.
@@MiguelGomezMountainRunner Thank you for your response. That's correct, I have been in contact with several people who have already done this hike. They brought water for several days. Can you also tell me when, which month, you made this trip?
@@MiguelGomezMountainRunner Thanks. I think I want to go at the end of June. I hope to avoid the crowds. Part 2 of your adventure is truly amazing. It is the reason for me to head in that direction as well. The deserted and empty landscape. Love it!
watched the whole video, this channel is so underrated
Thanks! I agree 100% 😉
Love it Miguel! So great to see J all grown up! Love the channel, like I'm there with you.... except without all the walking - keep up the good work
Hey Neal! Always good to hear from you. I was really proud of him, and it was really transformative for him. Email me, let’s have lunch sometime. 👍
Not sure how I ended up here, but I watched the whole video and enjoyed it! I wish you a safe journey!
Really glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Great vlog mate. Iceland is a wonderful country like no other 🇮🇸❤️
Indeed, the landscape is unique and amazing.

It really was great to spend that time with him.
Sounds like a great trip! I really wish I’d had a Mini 4 Pro. My Air 2s was pretty heavy. 😅
I'm preparing my L-trail trip in July, thank you for showing the details like the shower and I definitely will bring all my foods💸
Good luck and have a great trip! 🤙
