Is It best to replace this when you turn your wheel one direction and it makes a squeaking / sucking sounds and doesn't turn?

I just did this exact job. When I disconnected the connection to the reservoir, it had 2 O-rings. Is that normal? When I put it back together, I only used 1.

Yea but you missed the part where you need to loosen the pump because it’s almost impossible to put the dam line in the back

That looked easy until I stripped out the lines. 🎉🎉

I installed a new powersteering pump on my 2000 Silverado 4wd. The new pump is not working as it should it has hard steering at low speed. Idk what to do it’s the second one I put on. I did bleed it and double checked the hose. Can it be the high pressure hose is clogged?

+@movementonwheels We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

On a 97 they make the pressurized hose bends for literally no reason and made it where it but up against something. Then when we got new hose which is the right hose that they send its actually half inch short so you wither have to bend the metal part and reshape literally every bend. Like i could fit 5 to 10 more lines in that area with out it touching anything!!! Like just make the bottom part straight with one curve near the nut.. like tf why the bend it like it has to go around something it literally is a almost perfectly straight shot with one bend is all thats needed and they decided to do some weird u and s shape in it like wtf

How would I tell what hose is leaking? My truck is leaking power steering fluid around the same area

How are we supposed to turn the wheel without the engine running?
