    Hello, why wouldn't the court give the disclosure at any cost to the person charged? Especially when they are constantly being rejected. Appreciate the knowledge! Thank you!

    In what form the video/audio files are provided in disclosure package? (USB, DVD, etc). Is there any fee one has to pay to get videos/audios on a media (USB, DVD, etc)?

    Can the evidence in disclosure be used as supportive evidence to file counter charges against accuser, if accused believes that accuser committed some offense too?

      This is very rare, but it can happen. 🫥

    So is it possible that the person being prosecuted may never have to go to court at all during this process?

    • @shaffielaw
      @shaffielaw  Год назад +1

      Very possible, indeed. In fact, most of our clients never set foot in a physical or virtual courtroom throughout the entire process!

      @@shaffielaw Thank you! I was hoping that may be the case.

    What to do if one strongly believes that some piece of evidence is intentionally being omitted from disclosure, like a part of footage etc, and Crown says that no such footage is available even though accused know for sure that this particular footage was being recorded?

    Can you go on a trial without a disclosure and a lawyer? How can your case go to trial when you are mentally ill ( schizophrenic)? Thanks a million.

      You definitely want your disclosure before proceeding to trial. It's your constitutional right. 👨🏻‍🏫

    Getting confused, when do you get your disclosure? Is it after police have talked to you,detained you,released you, OR first court appearance?
    Should you get a lawyer to attend first court appearance? I heard most cases end there for stuff like petty crimes for alternative/diversion pleas

      Hi PC - normally, the disclosure is furnished near the time of the first court appearance. A lawyer isn’t necessary for a first appearance but I always recommend one 👍🏼 Give us a call if you’ve got any more questions.
