      In the spad UI - HOME Tab there is a video guides sub tab. That also has separated sections. Much easier to find the videos :).

    Could have done with training like this for GIT, wasted money on that! Thanks to these videos I'm switching to Spad.

    Thanks! Now I know what a profile is and how to design a profile by adding the devices I have-

      Great to hear!! I know it seems like extra work but having a profile per plane makes everything so much better. Just duplicate a similar plane and tweak or download a different config per controller.

      Look in the honeycomb section you will find a bunch of videos that are for specific planes and show how to download device snippets.

    Is there a way to see the contents of a snippet if I don't have the device?

    • @LesOReilly
      @LesOReilly  3 года назад +1

      I don't think so at this time ... But c0nnex made mention of a Feature coming at some point where you would be able to load up any "virtual" device copy... So maybe once we have that you would be able to take down a device that does not exist in your system and then copy events over... Might be good to drop the request that we can download device snippets for this :) and get a virtual device...

    Les, what about testing a profile? What does that do? When I select TEST is just sits there "Initializing".

      upper right? test? that is a Beta thing... not something you should probably touch :)

    Les, I’m just starting using SPAD.Next and Class Echo. I have watched your videos and they have help me understand how SN works. Class Echo is now in V2 beta and requires the creation a specific profile per airframe and assigning all liveries of that airframe to that profile. I have tried reading the profile section in the SN manual, but now cannot see the wood for the trees. Can you offer any help. Thank you. John Waine

      Every time you load a plane that SPAD does not already have assigned to a profile it will ask you which one to load it too :). If you don’t have one for it yet you can go to profiles and make a new profile. On the right you can then assign aircrafts from clicking on the button and adding your plane to that profile.

      Les, many thanks. I was adding the aircraft to the default profile. I'll look into making a separate profile for each aircraft and take it from there. Thanks. John

      You can also clone profiles. Some people like to get a single engine piston base profile that they duplicate from then tweak for each model.
      I usually just duplicate from the most recent one I was using in that class. Or start completely blank and just open another profile. Copy a complete device (ie my yoke) open the new profile and paste it to the yoke.
      Plus download device snippets for each device is also easy. For the echo I know ShakePrint has been uploading them for each plane as device snippets to make it easy to pull into your profiles.

      Les, up and running now. I was trying to attach to my initial profile instead of creating a clone/new profile. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. John

      @@LesOReilly I love the music. I know I'm still on your videos when I hear that distinctive music, I have the RUclips "auto-play" feature switched on and can watch back-2-back-2-back videos while doing other stuff and leave it rolling.
