Okay is the Narrator half ripped and half AI or did you ACTUALLY get the VA to do the voice. If it's the former, that's REALLY scummy, and I sincerely hope you don't do it again. Kevan Brighting has specifically asked people not to dupe his voice :/

The Narrator slowly actually referring to the player here and dark souls 2 instead of stanley is a horrifying revelation throughout the run
"he can't perform a critical strike properly" had me shivering : was it AI, did he actually called the voice actor, was it halloween and not april 1st from the start !!!
"Did someone forget to pick up the bonfire ascetic? Or should I say, did someone forget to create their character, hmmmm?" Was the moment I realized that the Narrator in the video wasn't just ripped from Stanley Parable.
The Narrator *was* part of the video the whole time
He has done this in previous videos. The voice is AI created, not from the original game

2. I wish he wouldnt. Most professional voice actors have made it clear that use of their voice in AI without permission is seriously crossing the line for them.

except it was still completely beaten and he basically just copied and pasted the characters name and stats from a new game over top of a character that had, would basically be the same as just taking a character you've 100%'d the game on, and deleting all the activated triggers

@@Influfferiousfor the most part as far as I can tell most of the voice lines are ripped from the original game and they were just used cleverly. About 10% was ai.

This is not the first video where he does this. I presume the voice is AI generated as that's how he's done it before

Fairly sure ymfah has appeared with a ring before, if i can recall correctly in the vid he was using a lag switch in an hotel. Its impossible to tell when that became a thing.

the second you have to start editing files externally then it's not a "funny insight on game breaking possibilities" as @nano_bergamasco3893 pretended it was, it's modding/file editing

Dark Souls 2 is a fantastic game, but it is defintely the weakest of the series.
This is the story of a man named Stanley. Stanley decided to post a video on April Fools day that wasn’t even a prank. It was just a video breaking Dark Souls 2. Stanley truly was GOATed with the sauce. Quirked up as only a white boy busting it down could be.
Damn. This and the new "Be And" videos both about best souls 2 dropping so close to each other. This is a gift
Either we're going to get a video actually detailing this, subverting expectations about April Fools. Or we're going to get a meme of a video, and it'll still be glorious

I remember watching your videos, like, 10 times each and thinking "this guy wouldbe a great penetration tester/red teamer, he always find these exploits and doesnt give up until he can cheat the game into giving him what he wants"
And now he pulls up binary exploitation like its just another glitch.

Stanley Parable is so meta that I couldn't even tell that the quotes weren't directly from that game until the narrator said "bonfire ascetic".
I'm still not 100% sure if even that line was in the original game.
The overwhelming majority of them were, in fact, in the game.
I recognize all of these lines, except the one about the ascetic and the one about Stanley being goated with the sauce. Yes, the line about Stanley being addicted to drugs and hookers is real.

I beat the game once with character creation skip after you mentioned it, just regularly consumables, and stat items with dlc bosses. It was miserable. Had a lot of fun, one wierd thing I found is that you can use the mace with lot lower str than you should.
I never expected you to plan something this insane.
I knew he'd find a way when I saw the savefile corruption in that "Beating Dark Souls 2 backwards" video...

You can keep using that same save file to beat bosses 0 times in as many save files as you want

I don't know that I'd call this beating the game in 0 bosses, you still had to have a save of a character that's beaten the game to do it. Even if you didn't beat it yourself, somebody had to. But then again I don't know that I should question your ability to just clip through the whole game right into the Throne of Want with the Parry Walk (TM).
