Sure, because everybody drives more than 300 miles per day, every day of the year for their entire life. Who wants to go to gas stations twice a week, every week of the year spending thousands of dollars on gas and oil every year, for an entire life? No wonder so many people are poor in the USA. They can't do simple math. Most Americans work 50 weeks per year and commute less than 40 miles. Plug in an EV at home and it charges while most people are sleeping. Like plugging in a cell phone once or twice a week. Must be too tough for many people.
Most of the world's electricity is generated by burning coal, so EVs are primarily coal powered cars. That's without even mentioning the huge efficiency loss converting heat to electricity, the transmission loss of sending that electricity over distance, the conversion loss back to kinetic energy. Oh, and what about a cold climate? Generating heat for the cabin from batteries is hugely inefficient. No one would ever consider switching from natural gas to electricity to heat their homes because the cost would be out of this world. Then there is insurance. Get in a minor fender bender, and if the battery pack is even slightly dented, the car could be a write-off. And the uncontrollable lithium fires. Insurance companies are catching on. Will anyone buy a used EV? When a battery replacement costs almost as much as a new car, or at least, more than the car is currently worth, who in their right mind would buy a second hand EV. I could go on and on...
I'm laughing all the way because of the EV crisis, but I should be crying. Their losses will probably be passed on to the taxpayers like GM and Chrysler years ago.
The way GM and Stellantis are going those clowns will be looking for bail out version2 in a year or so and Ford will be in there with their hand out also.

You missed one big reason why EVs are not selling... Insurance companies don't want to insure them because a small to medium collision that damage the battery will result in totaling your EV because manufacturers will refuse to repair them. A popular Korean EV charges their customer 56K to "replace" the battery.
How many people need a car with enough acceleration to break the sound barrier? Is that the selling point that really brings prospective buyers into a dealership? Or is it the average car owner who needs something dependable that won't put a mechanic's kids through college or pay his mortage with weekly repair and tire changes?
