- I get lots of questions about how we remoisturise our twists...this is one way I do it...for when they are wearing medium sized twists...or Mini twists like these. It is advisable to remoisturise your Mini twists at least once a week. Products used: Harmony Naturals Detangling Tea( which is the first step of our moisturizing routine), Our Leave in Conditioner, Butter Cream and Herbal Hair Growth Oil. I love your videos; literally just found them today and ordered a set of your products. I really wish I had a mom/family like you that embraced their natural hair. I went natural back in 2009, and I remember my late, BLACK grandmother calling me a “pickan*nny” for wearing my short fro. I’ve grown, cut, locked, bleached, etc. since then, but I’m back to rehabbing my hair. Your family’s beautiful hair has inspired me to get back to healthy hair again, so thank you.
Some of Our older adults were so ingrained in trying to conform with the whites that they started hating their own beauty. We have started thinking differently which causes us to embrace our natural hair growing from our scalps. I’ve been natural for over 20 yrs.😊

Hello, I follow you on instagram. I am so excited to see you have a youtube channel! I am in the process of trying to do mini twists for my daughter and also for myself. I know my daughters mini twist will look good because she has that beautiful density like you and your daughters. My hair density is not like that and I am nervous because I want to grow my hair in twists but when i go out with my family, I want to be able to look my best. I will be adding extensions to mine, hopefully as I continue to wear them and take care of my hair something will change and I will no longer need the extensions. Glad to see you on youtube. How do you twist the ends of the hair to prevent locking?
My hair keeps locking after twisting and carrying it for about one month
There is no special way to twist the ends to prevent locking...if your hair type locs when you wear your twists for up to a month, then don't wear them for up to a month. Another trick is to pay attention to the ends of the twist as you remoisturise(using a leave in Conditioner first really helps)

Do you braid the roots on small twists too?
Yes I do. But you can always just twist from the roots since they are mini twists. I will try that next time am installing these on them...it definitely will save time.

How long do you keep the mini twists in? How often is their hair washed with the twists
6 to 8 weeks....Their twists are taken down before washing. I don't wash their hair in Mini twists
