Took me 2 hours this morning to undo like 6 mini twists😭 and I still has breakage, even when I was gentle with my hair. This hair journey is not for the weak😂.
I have the exact opposite experience with braided roots. With my hair, the braided roots matted more than my roots when twisted. Thanks for this video. I hope I can get to your density one day😊.
So my twist aren’t mini .. but I’ve had the same parts since February😱… I wash/condition my hair in the twist… then re-moisturize/re-twist my hair… when I tell u I did this as an experiment… it’s July, I took them down and used my revair to blow it out .. I was shocked I’m pass bra strap .. like WHAT!! 😂 Also, I was on a 100 day juice fast the whole time my twist were in.. I loss 50+ pounds during that fast and I just knew my hair would be thin..NOPE !! It’s thick & full !!
That RevAir saves my life!! I can't imagine I went so long without having one. I knew it was an investment but I didn't realize the payoff would be so large ❤❤❤
Heyyy that’s what I’m doing too! I have mine in mini braids, I installed on October 16th, and I’ve washed, deep conditioner, oiled and everything w them in. Currently, I’m redoing the front section one by one but still keeping them in as a whole, I’m trying to leave my mini braids in for 6 months with doing my normal hair care routine during the 6 months. Also eating healthier and drinking more water, hoping to retain length, something that has never happened when in mini braids because I didn’t take care of my hair really, just put them in and left alone!
Great video and channel 🥰 I hope you don’t mind that I also add a tip that I use whilst taking down my twists. I have mid back length twists and have been doing mini/medium twists for over 10 years. During takedown I apply Jojoba oil to the tips of my fingers (any oil of choice is also fine) For me this greatly reduces take down time and helps to soften and remove any knots 🙂
This was SO HELPFUL to see in knowing what I'm in store for when I take down all these mini twists I've done on my head. I also braided mine at the root. It is going to be a task but these help me to retain length and I do thank you for your upload.
I love mini twist my I have low porosity fine hair but medium density m, I’m recover from heat damage, I don’t have patience with takedown period. I really miss my long hair I had after a major depression i permed it. I’m currently growing it back out. My natural hair in its texture is touching my shoulders . I’ll get back into mini twists for fall
Gorgeous hair!! You’re absolutely beautiful! May you please do a mini twists maintenance video? Like showing us what you do/what products you use while wearing your mini twists during your 2-3 month period? As well, after taking down your twists and doing your wash day, do you install your mini twists again? If yes, how long does it take you to install your mini twists? Have you ever done mini braids before? If yes, what’s your experience with mini braids? Also, where’d you get your Blue Jays Sweater from? Lol I love it! Haha I’ve yet to go to a game tho Lastly, how do you make your water mixture that you use on your scalp while your hair is in mini twists? May you please do a tutorial on that? Thanks for sharing hun
Hello🥰 in those 3months do you do a retwist ? Also I notice while taking down your mini twist you didn’t moisturize your twist ..Is that ok to do? Beautiful hair btw❤
Hey love! 💕 I do! I mainly only retwist the very front to keep it fresh! I took my twists down dry because I wanted it to be as stretched as possible before my wash day!
Love your mini twist I hope to one day have your length. Can you do a video how you moisturize throughout the months and your staple products you use ?
Thank you so much love! 🥰 So my hair is naturally very dense and very coarse but I was able to increase the thickness of my hair from diy treatments such as rosemary water, onion juice treatments, JBCO! I also keep my hair in protective styles for 2+ months and I scalp massage A LOT! 💕
how long are you letting your hair rest before you install your twists again? i am thinking i will take mine out...wash and blow out my hair and leave in a ponytail for 7-10 days then wash and retwist...thoughts?
Most of the time I will take them down and reinstall all at once! Sometimes I take down and reinstall chunky twists for a month before I do another mini twists set. If you are going to wash and blow out I wouldn’t wash it again, I would install the twists after the 7-10 days of wearing my hair up. Hope this helps! ❤
i do these a lot (most the year) and I feel like if my ends are getting knotty/tangled and not just staying a coil...i need a trim. the last set i just took out i had a lot of single strand knots...i immediately booked a trim haha.
@@mrod87 honestly I dust trim my hair often. They’re b*tches. It’s the ends of my twist rubbing against my clothes. I don’t really wrap my hair either max It doesn’t matter what I do. They get matted. I’m going to keep them stretched. I noticed it’s not as bad when I braid the twist.

Maybe your hair was dry. Try moisturizing and or adding an oil like EVOO for slip.

I doubt it.😊 You did not gave breakage your hair was getting rid of the dead hair
@@jadesiress3382the same for me I add oil and conditioner for the slip and I still had breakage!
It could have been hair that has shed

have you maintained the weight loss? I'm just wondering because people say you always gain back after fasting. I'd love to lose 50 pounds
I cannot get over how beautiful your hair is 😍😍😍
Could we have a video about the maintenance please ? What you do daily/ weekly and how often. What product you use …🥰

Girlll I'm in love with your hair 😍...you're encouraging me to do mini twists 😅
Taking them out over a week AND putting mini twists in over a week is a great way to do it. It’s easy to find hair styles to wear during the process.

Taking my hair down after a month 🙌🏽
I don’t think I want to do them this small any more 😭 it takes so longggg to put in and take down
The take down is the worst😢
This is why I prefer mini braids for me 😭 the takedown is the worst with mini twists for me!
@@KeKe4Christmini braids are worse for me😭 they tangle sooo easy for me when I try to take them down
But the growth be top tier just gotta detangle properly to retain the length

Sis, do you wash your hair while in long-term protective twist? And how often do you wash?
Beautiful hair and you're so super patient to put them in and take them out 😢
The length❤️😭my hair is still collarbone length and I can't wait to get to that length. Your hair is beautiful ❤️

There is no “install”. This is her real hair.
How do you keep your twists moisturized, what’s your routine?
i noticed i did not add any product or water while taking down your twist .. is it best to take down on dry hair?..
I love your twist you inspire me I want my hair to be this length. Do you ever use water to take your hair out?
How do you wear your hair during the takedown process?
Good question
Awesome how long did it take you to get then down?
What products do you use to twist your hair?
I did regret doing my twist as small because mines started to lock after 1month. I usually wear a twist out for 2 days to give my arms a break lol
How do you prevent your twist from unraveling? I was thinking to maybe braid the ends.
Girl…you got long hair and long nails…what’s your vitamins and supplements cabinet looking like? 😍
I was thinking the same thing
Within the 2-3 month period, do you re- do your mini twist, are you going to continue braiding the roots
No... She only retwist some at the front
Are twists a good protective style?
I bought braiding hair to do some box braids … after taking down my twist and blowing it out I think ima put my twist back in …
Can you do a wash day video?
Do you wash your hair while in mini twists?
You are gorgeous and your hair is goalsss 🎉
I have issues with the ends of my twist being tangled. 😞 how do you keep your ends from being matted? I realized stretching helps a little.

Use natural gel
Put small rollers
Put beads
@@arewahaircaretv8718 I’ve been using beads! But worried the rubber bands would break my ends. I do use oil on the rubber bands and stuff

Sister did you re twist your hair in those 3 months,
How many hours does this take to takedown?
How do you ensure they don't loc up after 3 weeks? 😮
Do you wash your mini twist?
I do sometimes! I often times end up taking them down before washing!
