I do feel like people tend to believe everything is an Easter egg, and it can set their expectations too high/disappoint them when they are wrong and nothing happens
Taylor's easter eggs are usually straightforward, but swifties (us) take them to a mile, magnifying every single detail, doing calculations and charting stars making her easter eggs seem more than what they are
@@oddieshowbut it’s not her that’s keeping the swifties on their toes. Y’all are doing that yourselves by imagining that she’s a lot more clever with her hints than she has ever claimed to be
in Little Mix's Wasabi MV at the end there's exploding confetti, album falling from the table and text "new era pending" and confetti was the name of the next album. yeah, no one got that at first😭😂
stan lee wasn’t just in “a couple” of his adaptations, that man made it his business to make a cameo in damn near EVERY FILM 😭🙏🏾🤍 God bless Stan💕 but the tattoo thing with the other guy is literally sending 😂😂😂😂😂
the comment talking about the Lover house is so real. like clearly it was only supposed to represent the eras up until lover and yet we’re four albums later, and people are still genuinely bringing it up 💀
easter eggs are super exhausting now. having to pick apart and analyze every single second of a song or video is a lot to cope with. especially on twitter. i’m fine with reading about it later, and just enjoying the music for what it is.
Easter eggs are a way to keep fans engaged in away, and they're not a new concept, been done before. Though one this about taylor switch fans is that they do take it a bit too deep, when most of her eggs are hidden very straightforward but some how the fans make it seem like it's something more mysterious than in reality it is.
A very cool modern example of hidden track Easter eggs was with LOONA yyxy's debut (and only) mini album, where the physical CDs would actually have a different dance break in their promoted single love4eva. I think they had 3 or 4 different dance breaks, which they'd perform during the promotion circuit and have different choreography to go with esch. Like imagine you buy a CD and when you listen to it, the song is what you knew but suddenly sounds completely different for like 10 seconds. Honestly I'd be spooked!!! I was a fan back then already but had no idea this happened until a few weeks ago when other orbits were talking about it. Considering Loona albums were never reprinted, it makes those rare dance break versions even rarer. I think the lore oriented kpop groups really thrive in Easter eggs. Recently ATEEZ had a random number sequence in the chorus and turns out it's like drawing out the shape of one of their lore symbols in a 3x3 keyboard 😭
I don't think something counts as an Easter egg if it references the story, that's just foreshadowing or crafting a detailed story world. It's only an Easter egg if it references something in the real world like another movie or a real person
the deluxe version of guts by olivia originally had those tracks on the vinyls which a different one for each version : the g version had obsessed, etc
One of my favorite music Easter eggs is in Empty Spaces by Pink Floyd where if you play it backwards it says “Congratulations you found the secret message” and they did this because at the time there were all these conspiracy theories about musicians hiding subliminal messages in songs and that you could find them by playing records backwards and stuff so they thought it’d be funny to actually put something in the song
I only care about them when it's something I'm a fan of. While I do find it interesting across all media, it's so overdone in this day and age that I almost roll my eyes at tht type of content
I watch and love all your videos!💕 I was just surprised with no mention of the Beatles? They invented the easter eggs in music (from 1966’s Sgt Pepper album). although nobody called them “easter eggs” then, they included little clues and cryptic hints in their albums and videos.
8:05 actually there kinda is a way ive seen artists do this in the streaming format! basically theres one actual audio track but theres two songs on it, so like the "main" song will play and then after it ends there will be a "hidden" song. these are not the best examples bc theyre before the streaming era, theyre also both jpop lol but ayumi hamasaki does this with the track "who" on her album loveappears and namie amuro does this with "no" on her album queen of hippop (unfortunately her entire discography has been wiped from all streaming services but.......) so not entirely like how physical albums would do it but still rlly fun to discover nonetheless ^_^
My only Easter egg I really loved mostly when I was younger it’s the A113. An art college class number that went to work for allot of animating jobs and put it in shows and movies. Or A110 I believe too
As an orbit, easter eggs are like Loona lore 101 lmfao They can be really fun and enriching!I never would have bother to look into so many interesting topic they incorporated into the story otherwise. They encourage people to get creative, research and think outside the box! Plus the endorphins you get when you solve a puzzle are thrilling! hahahah!
If we are gonna talk about music video Easter Eggs and K-pop is involved, Twice is a late majority. Loona is the group you wanna look at, although they've disbanded, their time as a group is a testament to the effectiveness of Easter Eggs as marketing. (Yes I know they're ARTMS and Loossemble, they're still not technically Loona anymore)
I mean twice used Easter eggs in 2017, they were just simpler. Tt references in knock knock, the word heart shaker was shown in likey, the cheer up camera character showed up in signal.
I think horror content often rewards you with Easter eggs upon rewatch. HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE comes to mind; there are so many ghosts in the back of scenes you might not notice the first time through. HEREDITARY, also, there’s so much to unpack on rewatch. Love stuff like that.
Childish Gambino released the beach version of 3005 on his Kuai album. For the longest time, I didnt know there was supposed to be another track you had to find to play over it to reveal som secret verses. My bf is a Bino fan and it shocked me to hear it years after the release
I am extremely upset because i Have Aaliyah´s self titled album and Messed Up wasn´t included in the Brazilian Version! Just when I tought I couldn´t hate Blackground Records more!!!!
The walking dead is also amazing at doing this for hints toward future storylines or callbacks to past stories and theyre really fun to look for, alot of them are very clever.

An Easter Egg video before Easter? You ate with this concept bestie 🧠
thank u bestieee

her easter eggs are very obvious so when I see that they start pulling numbers ans theories our of their asses it makes me laugh
but its like... fun? i think its genius at her part to keep us on our toes! ugh her mind ICONIC
@@oddieshowbut it’s not her that’s keeping the swifties on their toes. Y’all are doing that yourselves by imagining that she’s a lot more clever with her hints than she has ever claimed to be
remember the holes in the fence before/during lover 😅😅😅😅
i feel like sometimes musicians use this to keep fans enticed and excited

This coming out after the Cowboy Carter tracklist came out and had all the girls searching for non existent Easter eggs is perfectly timed😂

she literally BURNT IT TO THE GROUND at the eras tour and people are still bringing it up hahah

Idk but the hair is GIVING ✨

Hidden tracks on vinyls and CDs is something I never even thought about! Whoever thought of that is a genius, so dope!

I love Rocky Horror! And remember that ink master episode 😂😂
it’s been burned into my brain for years now bc the audacity…
I think the trend of secret tracks is def coming back, Olivia Rodrigo just did this with her deluxe songs
B2K’s easter egg track of What You Get after Dog is probably my favorite.

Yeah, so you can put candy and stuff inside, usually for an Easter egg hunt (maybe it’s a western thing?)
I don't normally take part in looking for easter eggs but I am doing this at the moment waiting for season 2 of Julie And The Phantoms 🤣
