Why do you do so much brush work on soft light/50% gray? I’m not knocking it, just curious as to what the upside could be. Thanks, great video!

Depending on the piece I use soft light to paint more edge light. Then when I do rim lights I like to build them up so I use a lower opacity. It also depends on the tablet I’m using. I do them this was on the iPad as I don’t like their pen much. If I use my wacom I can usually get them down in one stroke with perfect pressure.
