Excellent to have these string quintets in a collection in their own right. The more I listen to Beethoven's music the more I have awe and respect for it. The brilliant classics name is apt.
what an incredible beautiful masterpiece very neglected it is our loss not to find the beauty of many shadowed masterpieces by the greaT MASTER But i do listen to this quintet very often before i sleep... it is divine
Jason Said Your post triggered a memory from the early 1960s during the San Francisco Hippie days. Then, a good friend reminded us to buy LPs and appreciate the musical beauty of Beethoven's quintets, quartets and trios.
Wunderschöne und dynamische Interpretation dieser selten aufgeführten doch fein oder perfekt komponierten Meisterwerke im gut phrasierten Tempo mit gut harmonisierten und perfekt synchronisierten Tönen aller Streichinstrumente. Die intime und perfekt entsprechende Miteinanderwirkung zwischen den allen Virtuosen ist wahrlich bewundernswert. Wunderbar und atemberaubend zugleich!

Estos intérpretes, de manera ingeniosa, toman algunas grandes obras de música de cámara del maestro, cuyo año celebramos, y las recrean. Suenan bien. A un cuarteto se le añade una segunda viola, a un trío, dos instrumentos más. Los puristas se ofuscarán, empero, el talento de estos músicos, la calidad de sus instrumentos, y años de formación y trabajo, producen este resultado!
Olhe que não é bem assim como diz. Não são os intérpretes que adicionam instrumentos à versão original, o próprio compositor ou alguém por ele, sob sua revisão, é que produziu os arranjos a partir do trio e do octeto, por exemplo.
