Here is our first plugin - the Sausage Fattener! People always ask us how we get our greasy sound...here is the answer. Hook up this fat bastard to your favorite DAW (AU & VST on both PC/Mac) and get dirty. The plugin is already used by Tiësto, Kaskade, Diplo, Chuckie, Sebastian Ingrosso, Laidback Luke and others (see below for more).
The Sausage Fattener only has two knobs. But don't be fooled. With those seemingly simple parameters you can create loads of different sounds. Use the Sausage Fattener on a single channel with moderate settings as a musical compressor. Turn it up and you have a dirty bastard of distortion. But you can also use the plugin on a bus (for example all the drums and the bass) or the whole track as a mastering plugin.
The Sausage Fattener is used by Tiësto, Kaskade, Sebastian Ingrosso, Chuckie, Diplo, Laidback Luke, Chuckie, Hardwell, Henrik B, Angger Dimas, Frank E, Zedd, Lazy Rich, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Marcus Schossow, John Dahlbäck and several other DJ/producers.

This sounds soooooo good. I bought it and I don't even produce house music anymore! I use it on a lot of stuff: Snares, vocals, bass, haven't tried it on guitars yet but I think it'd sound sick as fuck on a seven string.
this does wonders for non synth stuff btw. i added it to my guitar tracks, makes extended range guitars fucking push serious air
I use this on the whole drum bus (no matter what genre of music I'm producing). It invariably makes drums sound enormous. I'm not sure about putting it on the master bounce though, it sounds pumpy before you get any good effects from it.

Question: If you're secretive about your effect chain, but make a plug-in to emulate it, then why keep your effect chain secret in the first place? Now, anyone can apply the same effects to their audio for a mere $30, and do so without learning how the chain works. Mind you, as an audio engineer, I'd probably buy this as a client-pleaser, but I'd much rather learn how the chain works. That way, I could tweak every parameter to my choosing.
Because having effect chains isn't all it takes to make music.
Good music will be good music no matter what, and sugar-coating bad music might work for a while, but it will not reach the success of naturally-good music. That being said, you missed the entire point of my comment. I'm calling out the fact that Dada Life did not reveal their effect chain, but instead released it a $30 plug-in. My concern is "why hide it in the first place?".

Miguel Angel Blanco they're not hiding anything, the made the plug-in simple for a quick saturator. If you really want to know what the plug in does, then I suggest not even buying it; and instead doing your best to recreate the fatness with stock saturators.

In the VSTPlugins folder in your program files, also this is a plugin for effects, so you can't call it up via the channels, only on the mixer channels.

This is literally just a limiter or a volume button lol
actually, it combines saturation, eq, distortion, limiter, and compresor into one knob. So it is a bit more complex than people give it credit for.
It's a overly simplified saturator. You'd get more controls with Ableton's built in Saturator and Glue Compressor

Something about this screams marketing gimmick. Why would they be giving their secrets away? i think this is like an inside joke between producers
the thing is that they didn't give anything away. It's a single plugin that re-creates their process and signal chains.. not IS their signal chains. Now, if they tell us the combo of things they based it off of.. now that's what I would like to hear!
I've used the plugin and it does make sounds fatter and louder.
I still think this video and the plugin are like a bit of a joke, at themselves and the genre. JUST MAKE IT FATTER AND LOUDER AND WE'RE GOOD. That's not really how music works..and there are hundreds of plugins that could already do this if you know how.
I don't blame them for taking advantage of a growing market of people who have no idea what the fuck they're doing to be honest.

I use Soundgoodizer for this. Its actually very same. Im gonna try out this sausage fatener. Looks like a cool plugin and more useful than soundgoodizer.

Obviously they showed that for the comic effect of looking like a sausage. But I don't know if you heard. There song at the end sounds pretty sick. I think they know what they're doing.
