Great video and very well explained. I have had similar thoughts, what good is a dome light when you have to get in, stumble to find the ignition and turn the key on to have a dome light. Thank you for your video.

I'm a noob, so bear with me on this. I'm looking at the wiring diagram at 3:42 and it looks like constant power is being sent to both Pin 30 and Pin 86 on the relay. My understanding is that Pin 30 is getting constant (fused) power. Constant power is also going to the middle pin on the toggle switch. That is jumpered to the 2 pins next to it, which is effectively sending constant power to Pin 86 on the relay. Is that right?

I have a 2021 Ranger 1000 Premium with the Clearview full poly-glass doors. This would be a great addition. Do you have a better picture of the rocker switch wiring. You have a lot going on there with the jumpers and wires coming off of it. I paused the video but it doesn't clearly show the jumpers and everything. I'm not too good at reading the schematic. Thanks.

The yellow lines on my wire diagram at 3:42 indicate the jumper wires. As for the switch, all of the pins on the left side are for positive power and all of the pins on the right side are for negative/ground. That being said only pins from the same side will jump to each other. There will never be a jumper from positive to negative in this instance. Therefore the top/left pin jumps to bottom/left, and second/one down from top/left jumps to 4th/one up from bottom/left. For the right side, top/right jumps to second/one down from top/right, and the right/middle pin jumps to bottom/right pin. Hope this helps.

I have it wired or I think it’s correct but the switch light is always on. I must have the switch wired wrong. When I open the doors the light comes on when they shut the doors they go off. But the switch on the dash is constantly on. When I turn it to the center position the light is off and the dome lights do not work.

Finally figured it out. I had the wrong red going to the constant on and a couple of other minor issues. Now the switch light is off until you turn the key on. The lights come on when you open the door and off when you shut it. Thanks.

@@condorsgaragedoes the switch orientation matter before wiring, meaning, is there a top and bottom or is that determined once you have it wired,
