My friend got me Oneshot for my birthday this year, I didn’t ask specifically for it, and it wasn’t wishlisted, but I played and absolutely loved it. I let Niko go home at the end, and definitely cried a bit. I think I’ll definitely try out Fading Memory

Hi, I think the game locked up on me. I showed Menderbot the picture, but then I can't move. I also can't fast travel or open inventory. If I try to close the window, it says it's not allowed during cutscenes... Music plays, I can switch between windows and full screen, but nothing else.. help?
with mender bot i couldnt find his room and it collapes without niko even knowing, so mender bot was just suffering there while niko was all happy go lucky. i didnt realize this while playing but after watching this video i feel horrible
This video changed my life. It brought me out of a really tough time. It all started on the day of my birth, where i was born at a very young age. Both my mother and father failed to show up. That day was forever cemented in my history as my one and only birthday. As i started growing older, my age began to increase, preventing me from being young again. Unfortunately, that also meant that i was twice as old as i had been half of my life ago. I thought I was done for, and that all hope was lost when i stumbled upon this glorious video. The moment i clicked on the play button i was hooked, and the electronic music blaring in the background really brought me closer to the experience. The 160p screen resolution brought a tear to my eye. It reminded me of my glory days back in vietnam, where we would record the monkeys in the trees that spoke vietnamese. I still hear the bushes talking to me. The dance moves bring me back to the times when i would pee on the vietnamese soldiers after we captured them and eat their chicken noodle soup. That reminds me of the numerous horrendous war crimes i commited while stationed in Vietnam. The part where your character was dancing in the water hit harder than dad at 3am with the belt. I have been watching this on loop nonstop since may 1st, and i still can't get enough. My family has disowned me, and they tried to disconnect my wifi, so i sat on the street outside starbucks and continued to watch this masterpiece until the manager came and kicked me out. He called the cops and i ran away as fast as i could. They haven't been able to catch me yet, and the military has stepped in, as I am now using the government's wi-fi because i can't watch this anywhere else. I'm currently running through the coal mines of Vladivostok in hopes that the russian government won't find me there, but i feel that my VPN provider has been leaking my location as the police have been after me for the past 30 years but in the last 30 days it's been worse. I hear the helicopters above my starbucks, and the police are patrolling the streets but they cannot find me due to my disguise as a male stripper. Unfortunately I think they are on to me now, but I am still religiously watching this video with no end. Oh no, i see the tanks flattening the buildings across the street. When ever i watch a oneshot video. I get reminded of niko's story of being lost far from home. Which is pretty much my greatest fear as nobody might know who you are. Theres no one to call for help to. And theres no way to get back.
WAIT IT ACTUALLY PREVENTS YOU FROM RUNNING WITH SCISSORS?????? When I played through oneshot originally I remarked how I expected niko to call me out for trying to run with scissors but they didn't. So my inner gremlin got the better of me and ran EVERYWHERE with the scissors until I had to use them to progress. 2:04 also if you're open to it the LISA series is also fantastic in my opinion and has a massive heap of fan content to explore with it. Even if you don't cover it in any videos it is still worth it to check out in your free time in my opinion.
Fading Memory does automatically turn off the running if you have the scissors, yeah also features some amazing water effect when you get to the surface as well as overall nice music and sound design.
Good to hear what the mods have so far is promising. I saw them both when I first Oneshot, and I'm excited to see what they have. I plan waiting for both to be finished so I can get the full experience on each mod the moment I start it
An option to skip Solstice entirely has been added to the game a while ago. Just make sure you don't have anything in `%appdata%/OSFM` and don't migrate your save when the game asks you about it.

You get a prompt at the very beginning where you're asked if you'd like to replay vanilla or "wake up" to skip straight to the mod proper. So now you either play through the entirety of vanilla, or delete the save data at `%appdata%/OSFM` and choose to skip.

Personally I don’t like the idea of getting a one shot sequel. Since doing that spit in the face of Niko , The world machine, The author, prototype, rue and Cedric. It doesn’t make sense in the week of solstice because everything is solved and The world machine is stable. The only way this makes sense is if you actually change the world machine and at that point you’re ruining Niko‘s life again just so you can play with him Breaking your promise that this is the last time. i’m not saying they should stop development because they should continue what they want to do but personally I don’t like A oneshot sequel and I probably Will never play it
The idea of a sequel ruins the *entire* message of the game in general. Literally the most impactful lines that have stuck out to me from the game, those being "I don't think we're ever going to see each other again" and "I'll never forget you, " fall TOTALLY flat when the idea of a sequel is even considered. I don't wanna get in the way of anyone's fun, but I personally just... don't like the idea of the game getting a sequel, fanmade or otherwise.
I'd actually like a sequel focusing on how Niko affected all the characters that they met on their journey. Niko isn't there anymore, but the memories that everyone has of them are. Or maybe a spin-off with more emphasis on puzzles where you play as the World Machine working on repairing their code.

You can delete your save file if you want to replay the game as you did originally in the first run (also lets you replay the solstice route).

The Niko sprite doesn’t change, It’s only that it changes the water a bit and it has a bit more options in the settings. I’m so confused
