I think I'd get a leechie and maybe a sara. I remember looking saras up some time ago (a few years ago, I think) as a potential new reptile to get, but ultimately settled on a chewie instead because info on saras was VERY limited, I didn't see any being sold locally, and the ones I could find online were way too expensive for me, at the time.
Hey Adam, would you ever be interested in or able to do a video on Emerald Swifts? I own one personally and it is my absolute favorite reptile ive ever had, however im saddened that there are almost no youtube videos on this reptile!
I 100% think that dune geckos are so underrated! They are so cool! I just hatched my first baby the other day. They are the perfect size for geckos. Great video Adam!
Geckos are so cute, some of them look like they belong on a different planet because of the eyes but they are adorable. I hope you and your family have an awesome Thursday and weekend
Agree on the Saras...I would also add phyllurus amnicola (Riverine Leaf-tailed gecko). They're basically the same care as the New Cal stuff, but only eat bugs. Very underrated! Nice video, bro.
I have all new cal geckos and Sara’s are by far the best. I got a baby 7 spot with the full collar for $350 idk if it’s a boy or girl yet but the most active gecko in my collection they’re sooo under rated
I think you should do it. You’re a go to content creator with great info on how to care for our pets. It would be great to see a video by you about those that are #1
Got my first ever gecko recently and nobody talks about her type. She is a golden gecko from Vietnam. The reptile shop was very evasive about her breeding so I assume she's wild caught, unfortunately. She is very inquisitive and captive bred Goldens would probably be much more responsive to handing. I am tickled with my little Golly G and can't wait for the larger bioactive enclosure to be ready! *Edit: bit by autocorrect *
The gecko I would get now if I could would be a crested gecko because I have a leopard gecko ball python and hognose snake. I also love that you take take our suggestions. Nice video.
Hi I live with my nanna which said that I can get a Leche if I save up for it my self and I know there not known for being a beginner reptile but I find them so interesting anyway I just wanted to say that I have been doing lots of research on them for the last week and your Chanel has taught me more the anything I have watched thank you
I love my williamsii. So beautiful and I've got 3 babies now. Hopefully 2 more sets to hatch before new year. If I can scrape together some cash over the next year I want to do neons too.
im obsessed with pachydactylus geckos, another genus of sand geckos. getting my first 1.2 soon and i CANNOT wait for them (I think i have to house the male seperately for most the year which im sad about but anything for my favorite goofy geckos)
I love chahoua geckos. Definitely on my wish list. And yes sarasinorums are cool looking, and as far as New Caledonian geckos go, theyre sort of brushed to the way side. Im not super big on geckos. Im definitely more of a snake person. But chewies are definitely on my list to get. Almost came home from Tinley with a gargoyle gecko though. Definitely a video on all New Caledonian geckos would be cool.
@@WickensWickedReptilesthank you so much ur my favourite RUclipsr I’ve been planning on getting my 4th reptile for a while now and you have helped me with all my animals(Don’t worry I know what u say in ur vids don’t listen to some random bald guy in his basement I did other research 😂
I got my first leachie a couple months ago, and they’re so much more docile than I was told. Sure he looks at me like he owes me money when I hold him and coats the glass in a waterfall of poop but still hasn’t bit me yet lol
About mourning gekos, dont underestimate how much they breed lol If you have a small group of adults youll have tens of Babys very fast. They Take about a year to mature but will lay 2 eggs a month and Take around 2 months to hatch. Also keep in mind that they might eat they re young every now and then depending on space, food and such. Great species to have
To answer your last question- As a first time reptile owner, I wish I got my Crestie sooner! I know they are super common, but if you are a first time reptile owner, I cannot recommend a Crested Gecko enough. I've had my lil dude, Chopstick for 2 and a half months now, and I am so madly in love with him. He's so inquisitive, so fun to feed, and just an absolute joy to watch in his enclosure, or handle. In my personal opinion, Cresties are also the coolest looking New Caledonian gecko species. There are so many amazing morphs. Chopstick is an extreme Harlequin and he looks so stunning, fired up or down! Keep your handling sessions short, and preferably not daily, and you will have the most amazing lil buddy!
I love leachys!! Lol when I was a little girl I'd catch salamanders and newts. I grew up in redwood country so it's damp and they were everywhere! Those and garter snakes. Who doesn't love geckos!!
I wish you could cover Saltuarius wyberba or the Australian Granite Leaf tailed gecko. They are amazing geckos. Extremely hardy and easy to keep. The care is very similar to New Caledonia geckos, just insect eaters! Would love to share what I know! Love the videos! ❤
My gecko "tier" list... #5 Tokay: Yes they bite, yes they're little a-holes... but no gecko looks as pretty as them #4 Giant Day Gecko: They just look pretty... but don't like to be touched #3 Mourning Gecko: Yes you can't touch them and yes they look rather boring... but they're an army of lesbian clones doesn't get much cooler than that #2 Chinese Cave Gecko: They're emo, mine is creepy (keeps staring at me) and loves to walk on me and has no problem being touched #1 Chewies: They are in my experience the most chill gecko they don't mind being touched, they are active and can have great coloration, in 15 years of owning Chewies i've never been bitten, they're like a Leachie that went to the gym and lost all their fat I love Leahies but didn't include them because i think for most reasonable people they're still too expensive and while i have only ever been bitten by a Leachie once and my Tokay bite me about once ever time i think of them... the Tokay bite is more a little nibble while when my Leachie bit me it felt like it's trying to rip off my finger. BUT when my Leachie bit me it was absolutely my fault, i came from above when i tried to move him to a new enclosure and he got defensive and bit... My sleeper pick for cool geckos are Aeluroscalabotes felinus (Cat Faced Geckos) they're from what i've seen from friends more timid and shy than New Caledonians but they just look absolutely stunning in my opinion
I’m hoping to get a second pet gecko. My first gecko is a spoiled crestie. I’m leaning towards getting a gargoyle. I never heard of the sarasinorum, or “sara.” My obstacle in my path to getting another gecko is my friend and landlord. She isn’t a reptile person, but she does like how geckos have this smile to them. To her, it’s adorable. But guess what? Her name is Sarah (with an “h” at the end). And she was thrilled that there are geckos called saras. So I’m hoping to use this connection to convince her to get a sarasinorum. I saw patternless ones for around $200 USD. That’s doable for me.
As a chameleon gecko keeper, every time I think you’re going to talk about my beloved eurodactylodes, I end up disappointed! I have to assume that they would at least make a New Caledonian gecko list?!
I wish there was a lizard that had identical care to a crested/gargoyle gecko but only had to eat as often as a snake. I can't think of a single small lizard with a metabolism as slow as like a bull snake.
@WickensWickedReptiles I adore my Sara above all others honestly. She is beautiful and spicy and quick but will come to her door to be handled. Definitely even better than my leachie.
I literally got myself a Sara. And I got one exactly because it wasn’t a Crestie. No shade on Crestie. Do a vid on Sara, get some solid info out there as aside from Clint, info on them is barren. Love the vid.
My sister has had a crested gecko named echo for quite a while since I was over at her house the last time she got another one with the intention of breeding them and I was like are you sure it's a boy she's like oh yes I checked before I took him home I texted her a couple of days later like are they getting along okay she's like yeah
Please keep on breeding the Chewies!! tHey are so pretty and too expensive.. If you would, I would buy from you!!! I wish I could have Chaoua, Gargoyle and Sara and Cave or pictus geckos!!! Love them!! Easy to take care and not obviously popular.. I would want them all!! and Tokays once I'll be an expert..
Leachies can be tame. unless they are Grande terre. You have to put a lot of work in with the bigger locales, even then they will still bite if they are guarding eggs. anyone wanting a tame leachie should go with smaller locales.

@@WickensWickedReptiles either a leechie or a crested

tokay or leachie. the tokay has the pokemon factor and the leachie is a chonky boi with a cute face.
And then there's Geico because 15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance, and you can bundle your home and car insurance with Geico.
hahhaaa
I do love the Leachy. It's like a muppet decided to be a real critter or something.
hahahhahaha yes!!
Chameleon geckos
Underrated, cool patterning, and same diet
Yes they are!

My nicest Leachie and nicest Chewie have both crapped on me. That’s a sign of affection.
Lol😂
I plan on getting a leopard gecko soon. Your videos have been most helpful and entertaining. Thanks a million!
