    Hello Dr. Draw. I'm from Colombia, however, I watch your videos with the terrible subtitles of youtube to understand your videos and some things complement with the translator. The truth is you are a total genius, I've been trying to understand the space, the form, the composition and others as kim jung gi did and I can say that thanks to you has been a before and after in that process, I've seen all your videos and the truth here is pure gold Remember what happens to Saitama when he wants to enter the society of heroes? Well something similar happens with you, you don't have enough subscribers for what you are able to achieve and teach, because you are a very valuable but hidden hero haha (you are also bald like saitma, by the way I am too xD) I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and my art for what you do for all of us. I will try to buy the Patreon and go beyond what is free so far on your channel.

      Oh my this is the sweetest comment I've read in a long time! Thanks for letting me know that's really encouraging. I've never been compared to Saitama but I'm deeply honoured haha. Also thanks for letting me know about the terrible subtitles. Once I get a better (consistent) income from RUclips I will definetly get a Spanish translation. It's on my list. But first I need to build a great foundation. You probably understand. And last but not least: Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings! Keep it up.

    Dude I cannot believe how much of a breakthrough just laying eyes on your simplified headshape was for me, didn't even need a further explanation really and I've heard simplify things down to shapes so many times but never really internalized how powerful it was. I'm not great at perspective or anatomy but being able to scribble guidelines of where that sort of headshape is basically sets me up everytime for a pretty solid looking head. Great tutorial!

    I was so proud to understand the tutorial and to sketch in my sketchbook that I completely missed that one point of of the video where you said you have to make that knowledge take smaller space in your brain to take less space for more....and I jumped on the occasion to make a big piece for instagram , combining forshortening, face angle, HANDS, difficult pose perspective, and I master none of them....I felt so confuse and head back to the video again. I'm a frustrated artist who can't draw what he want at the first try, but I'll keep practicing. I'm confused but I got the spirit !

    just sat down and gave this a go. drawing the boxes in different perspective was fun. even more fun when you add flexi cylinder as a neck. so as a guide, for practice on daily or weekly basis, how many heads would you encourage a student to draw? by heads i mean boxes. I'm guessing will be a while before I can "draw a head" - eyes, nose, ears, smile and frown creases etc. thanks for the tutorial. this is fun

    • @thedrDraw
      @thedrDraw  Год назад +2

      Good question! I'm a bit hesitant in giving you a number because it could be a 1000. But that will bore you the fuck out in a while. Just always try to go back to the box. And when you feel like it get's easy, take a step further and experiment.
