I am Swiss, coming from the "land of chocolate" and I remember when we visited Greece like 30 years ago when I was a very young kid. And I still remember the chocolate drink. It was the best I ever tasted, I drank at least two a day for weeks and I have missed it ever since. Whenever I buy a new chocolate drink, to this day, when I open it my first thought is: will it finally be similar like the one from Greece? Back then it was in a transparent plastic bottle that had some "ripple pattern" in the middle I think and the cap was just a golden aluminium foil, that you could rip off or just punch a straw through. They sold it absolutely everywhere, even in like small beach-bars at the sea. Absolutely the best ever! Glad to hear that it still tastes the same, my wife and I might go to Greece this year for a short vacation ... I know the first thing I will buy 😅
Whenever I would visit Greece as a kid my Grandma would give me some money and make me wait on the front steps for the van from the bakery to show up. Milko and a tiropita is what Id get every time.
Anyone remember back in the early 90 Nestlie was selling individual serving of rich chocolate milk in an aluminum can. It was available in bulk at the Greek supermarket. That was the most delicious chocolate milk ever. If anyone knows if it's still available, please let me know.
Hi there. I’m sure you’re referring to Carnation (with the cowboy kid advert). It was mostly an 80s hit and as a kid I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one:)
Hi there. A few years ago you could find it sold in specialist Greek online shops. But due to its short use-by date and the issues with importing products to the UK after Brexit, it is difficult to stock it. All the stockists we searched online show it Out Of Stock at the moment. But if you keep on searching for it on Google from time to time you might get lucky :)
