In addition to the wonderful artistic ability, I didn't see a person with such kindness and fun and adviser as you , We love you , Thank you miss jessica 🌹🌹💕🌹🌹
Hi Jessica I'm loving watching all your videos. You do it with such a lot of happiness. It's so much fun listening your words. Your happiness even arrives in switzerland. smile
Hailing from Long Beach, CA -Thank You Jessica for the video - you have an easy way about you in explaining things and taking away the apprehension one may have to any new process. I'm a wet behind the ear novice to ceramics. I've watched a few of your videos and you make things simple, you get start to the point and you don't rush. Thanks a bunch....you rock! Diane
You are such a joy to watch... Thank you for sharing this unique technique... and most of all... "Thank YOU" for serving these here U.S.A. God Bless YOU
Love the idea! I will most definitely be using this technique! Thank you for sharing all your wonderful ideas!🤗💕 I'm loving watching all your videos, I'm so glad I found you on RUclips!😊👍
Love your videos. Your explanations are clear, and you're so natural and funny. Have learned a lot from the ones I've watched so far. Like having no music. Thank you!!
Thanks for the great tip! I ordered a few and they arrived yesterday. Can't wait to get out to the potting shed! Love your videos, thank-you for taking the time!
Hi Jess, I was wondering does transfer paper works well with underglaze or/and glaze. Should underglaze or glaze apply before the transfer paper or after the transfer paper?
taking a class on this, frustrated on the results, NOW, watching your video it is "clear" no pun intended! Thank you for such an uplifting tutorial - you beautiful being of light!
You are absolutely great. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in such a fun and interesting way. I've learned a lot from you. Pleaseeeeeee keep sharing your work 😊
I've looked at these on CCAC before, but have't tried them yet, I will now. Can put them on a pre-applied UG background color, though I'd bisque the background color first. Can 'fill in' designs with additional UGs to add more color. Can carve around designs to 'lift' them from the surface. Whoa, so many ideas. You rock, love your vids.
Great video! I had no idea tissue transfers even existed. If I saw "Decals" on a menu list, I would have passd it by. I always think Currier & Ives mass production plates when I see decals. So, I'm excited over this! Your instructions are very clear. And thanks for holding things up close to the camera!
Screen print is another technique similar to this but it works more on flat surface clay. Also you can take t-shirt/fabric images and transfer them to a piece of flat clay , wood, metal , glass as well. Most material to most material toner transfers work though some are harder to transfer then others.. So not only can you make your own positive/negative 3d mold impressions with other video methods but you can copy any picture/image design over to. Saves a lot of time rather then drawing, it would be like saying drawing is equivalent to sculpting your 3d mold impressions from scratch in other videos you had.
I miss the camaraderie of the studio at the university I got my BS edu. K-12. It has been a long time with out that feeling until i discovered your Videos! Love them! Wish i had a pencil and paper with me when you showed the conversion you did with the Glossy glaze to the satin matte clear. Could really use it right now
I love your videos I’m sorry you don’t do as many anymore but I was wondering do you have an end result of your tissue transfer did you put clear glaze over it what did you do to finish?
Thank you thank you thank you, this is the technique tip I was looking for, plus: you are a very nice person and it's very pleasant to listen to you and see you work.
loved the video--one thing I found that works if the underglaze doesn't completely cover is to use underglaze of the same color to fill in voids using a small artist's brush.
Wow! I was just looking today for sites that sold this tissue paper. Good timing. I will be spending way to much money I'm sure. Thanks for the heads up!!!!!
Hi Jessica, Thanks for your video. You mentionned we can make our own screen print. Do you have an idea about the recipe we can use to print the design to the paper leaf. By the way I was looking at the paper you have and that looks to be a silk paper very thin. Thanks for giving me more informations. Have a good work !
Also! Sorry for another comment haha I've been screen printing my own designs onto newsprint paper and transferring, but tissue seems to work so much better according to this! Where do you think I could get some tissue like the stuff they use? It wouldn't be just regular tissue would it? Haha rice paper maybe?
Has anyone here tried this technique without removing the tissue paper while it's wet? I'm wondering if it might come off by itself as it dries. I have tremors which I work around so I'm always looking for ways to compensate. Also, if you're putting these on bone dry greenware does it help to moisten the surface first? I have a feeling that Jessica gets really good results on leather hard because the sponge AND the clay are moistening the glaze from both directions at once. But I could be wrong.
Thanks for your video, I will have to try ordering some of these. You also got me thinking. May be I can have my students trace an image on tissue paper wth underglaze pencils, or by paining underglaze, and then apply the tissue to the project as you have shown. Hmmmm?
Totally helpful video! I appreciate the POV that you show us as well as the kind attitude you’ve got! You’re awesome. I cannot wait to get started with transfers:) Do you know if you can use transfers on top of a coat of glaze? Or are they only underglaze? Thanks!
how can i tell what cone these will fire to??? I tried to find that out on their website - no luck. will these fire in a low fire or just high fire?? thanks in advance.
I used a similar method to transfer images i printed off computer to t-shirts. Its called toner transfer which works on fabrics , woods, glass,metals,..etc pretty much any material. So you probably already know but going to mention it anyway you can computer design your images and print them off rather then sending away for them. My issue i was wondering about is the ink or colored printer ink if its going to hold /not ruin colors when firing in the kiln??? I knew how to do the method don't know how kiln will handle the designs and if you put a clear type of glaze before you fire them to seal them in? As well as have you used them to eat on with a glass glaze i imagine you could eat on them but worried about the ink/paint being an issue?
Thank you so much for sharing this process with us. After the pot dries, do you fire it to cone 04, then apply a clear glaze and fire it again to cone 6? Also can you skip the first firing and just apply a clear glaze and fire it to cone 6?
Can you put a transfer on something that is ready to paint ? I got a piece of pottery that is naked and once I paint it they fire it. Can I apply this first and then my colored glazes?
Hi Jessica, love your videos. I bought the same exact transfers as the ones you are using here...and they wouldn't transfer AT. ALL. I tried for four hours, using your exact method on greenware as well as on freshly pressed slabs...and NADA. I wonder if you have had any difficulty with any of the transfers, and if so, were you able to solve the issue? Thanks!
Jessic.... I've watched several of your videos and really enjoy your work and tutorials. Where can I see the work you are selling??. I've looked all over your site and can't find anything.... especially your mugs. Best wishes.... Ax
WOW! Not only did I learn to apply decals but I fell in love with the teacher!!!
so well explained! I enjoyed watching this tutorial! thank you so much :)

That is soooo Cute...
Thank you Jessica! This was cool. I’m just learning and you really explained the process in a fun and simple way.
I love this!! Very cool and nice!
WOW! You're exceptionally good at explaining, and your teaching style is captivating. I don't even do pottery and suddenly I want to start...
I'm Brazilian and I love your videos, but now in several moments your look looked the same look of the Tina Fey.
Great video! I had no idea tissue transfers even existed. If I saw "Decals" on a menu list, I would have passd it by. I always think Currier & Ives mass production plates when I see decals. I'm loving your videos, great information and examples of how to do "things", It really simplifies the process. Thank you so very much.

Thanks good job explaining it ALL!

GREETINGS from Italy
This is just what I needed to see! Thank you! Trying it this week!
Always a fun learning experience! Thanks so much.
Wow! I was just looking today for sites that sold this tissue paper. Good timing. I will be spending way to much money I'm sure. Thanks for the heads up!!!!!
Jessica, I love your videos. You teach techniques so well!
After you apply the pattern to a leather hard project and fire once bone dry is there a glazing step?
So I have question, does it change colors when you glaze? Does it remain the color it is?
Great video!
Love all that I have ordered.
Yes! Love this! Thank you. ❤️
Thank you!!! Didn’t know it was so easy!
Hi Jessica,

The Tina Fey of the pottery world!
Would love to see these decals used in combination with glaze! Love your videos!
I love it with just that little piece and done 😍
Love your videos.. you are amazing dear, thank you so much 😊
I like the smeared section.
Also! Sorry for another comment haha
I've been screen printing my own designs onto newsprint paper and transferring, but tissue seems to work so much better according to this! Where do you think I could get some tissue like the stuff they use? It wouldn't be just regular tissue would it? Haha rice paper maybe?
I am working with underglaze transfers combine with clay apliques from a mold.
HI Jessica, I see this is a year old, do you have videos about firing with the transfer on the pot? and a result?
Jess, can I paint underglaze over the transfer on my pot?
Thank you, but to apply inside it is the same technic ? 🤔 I am wondering what is the process to print patterns inside like industrial ceramic
Wow! Is there a way to get ones own designs printed on tissue transfers?
amazing thank you very much so much to learn
Loved your video! Thank you.
If your piece is bone dry, do you still do it the same way, or do you need to wet the piece a bit first?
I wonder if that works on other types of surfaces such as wood or canvas?
It would work but you’d need to seal it with an epoxy or acrylic so it won’t smear.
Beautiful!! 💕

Have you ever added it to bisque ware? That's when I would normally underglaze. Just wondering. Thanks for sharing
Hi Jess, can you please the details for the tissue paper, thanks j
Is there a video for the glazing process after the transfer?
Very helpful video, thanks 👌👌👍👍
Can you make your own transfer paper? If so what paper and what tool for drawing?
Thanks for your video, I will have to try ordering some of these. You also got me thinking. May be I can have my students trace an image on tissue paper wth underglaze pencils, or by paining underglaze, and then apply the tissue to the project as you have shown. Hmmmm?

Is this before you 🔥 in kiln or after Jessica?

Brilliant thank you, very informative.
Can you put a transfer on something that is ready to paint ? I got a piece of pottery that is naked and once I paint it they fire it. Can I apply this first and then my colored glazes?
Jessica.... i have no access to dipping glazes. How do I apply a brushed glaze onto decals?
Did you glaze right over the transfer?
Quick question...will the glazes you use on your porcelain with texture work equally as well on b mix? I believe they are from Georgie’s?
Thanks for another great video! No used Kleenex on my pots now.
Hi Jessica, love your videos. I bought the same exact transfers as the ones you are using here...and they wouldn't transfer AT. ALL. Lovely! How does it look after burnt? And glazing?
Hello mam
How can I get this type of poster over ceramic glaze
Can u suggest me
Hi, is this on a Bisque pot?
Love it!
Thanks for the video!!! Can this be on both greenware and bisque ware?
Hi
I'm looking for the tissue transfer on line.
Not able to get it.
Can you please put the link from where you bought it?
Thank you
Did you notice the cancer/births defects warning on this product? So sad as I really was interested in using these!
Jessic.... I've watched several of your videos and really enjoy your work and tutorials. Where can I see the work you are selling??. I've looked all over your site and can't find anything.... especially your mugs. Best wishes.... Ax
If transferring onto bisqueware, does a piece need additional firing?
Very cool!
I really want to try this!!!!! ❤❤❤
Jessica you are amazing thank for sharing but I can find the company you mention how made the paper could you provide the link please is wonderful!
Hi Maria, she said the name of this site at 0:53 , it's www.chineseclayart.com
