- Julie and I are jumping right into this forest road project. We use the Kubota KX040-4 to push through the wettest spot on the property. This will be the first of a series of videos for this project. Settle in and lets move some logs corduroy road style

Wow, that's great teamwork. A log road! I'm pretty sure this is how they built most of the back roads around here lol. Julie is really talented, not only running the excavator but playing the fiddle at the same time. Join us on the next episode as James goes shopping for his own excavator.
There is actually a fiddle under our bed … I’m told she used to play as a child but it all sounds like dying cats to me. I do like the music in the video though lol. If I’m going to buy myself a mini ex … it’s going to be a KX080. Thanks for tuning in John!!

Hey Dave! Yes - we'll have to get some native soil from the back 40 and bring it forward to spread out on the logs. Eventually I want a gravel road but we have to start somewhere!

Julie is really coming along on the mini ex. If that's what it takes to get her to come outside and play - I'm all for it. Maybe she wants a new tractor too??
That is exciting building new trails! I was doing similar last weekend, but did not bring the excavator. Just cutting stumps flush to the ground. I'll take care of that next summer when it's dry. I am lucky, it's relatively flat, I can run the side-by-side there. Julie has great talent moving the excavator through this rough terrain and yet placing logs for buyoancy! Thanks!
It's super exciting Joe! There is a lot of land back there that we can't get to without a road. I can walk back there but can't get any real work done without a road. This is long overdue. Julie is getting better everyday with the mini ex. Thanks for stopping by!

50 … only 1/3 has ever been accessible with machinery … we’re trying to change that!!
