excellant video
I want that tractor!!!
This video is the best description of this particular Kubota model that I've seen. Simple, complete easy to follow. Appreciate the share. I've been shopping for 2 years on all manufacturers. Today's video has help me to decide on Kubota BX23s. Again thanks.👍👊
🤯 awesome!!! Best of luck!
Great video...Very clever...👍👍...😎
A leever?
Thanks for sharing. Looks perfect for some people
Better off getting a old MTD or ayp mower 😊
Nice car
That sprung washer is necessary
Not a good idea will be a bad scene if the hydraulic lock fails
3 years later and it’s still holding the tarp up. I think we’re okay.
@@KillingItCountry it's good until it's not
Thank You very much for all this info. I recently purchased a BX 23S and I love operating it. It’s very intuitive.
You’re welcome!! Enjoy your new machine!!
Very informative!
Long video... but great explanations and covers most everything you'd need to know to get to operating. I know there are roof canopy options, but is there any cab options? Maybe just 3 sided to block some wind for snow blowing?
Hey, thanks for watching. Check out Curtis cabs!!
Great video. Thanks! Also I am envious in that you dis the whole video and your hat never budged! I am not so lucky!
John Deere used to have a reputation. Not anymore.
Very nice! That'll brighten your yard! Nice product.
Hello James! Nice bright light for sure and great mock up to be able to test it in different locations. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Mike.
Can’t wait to see what it looks like at night 😂😂😂, hope you didn’t get a LEDburn 😂😂😂. Welcome back James 👍🏻🙋🏼♂️🙂🇨🇦🍻
Nice lite 👍 Here on PFON Temporary usually turns into Permanent 😂 Nice Video thanks for sharing!
Very nice, might work good on the barn! Cheers James. 🍻
I kept hearing you stating that you are going to sharpen the blades and mount them prior to torquing everything down. I’m not sure if you are aware but, I am only going to respectfully share some advice when it comes to sharpening your blades before installing them. If you like, you obviously have the inherent right to ignore it or modify as you see fit. Before sharpening any mower blades one should thoroughly clean them in their entirety. I’ve found that a pressure washer works wonders for this. Just ensure you have a protective surface beneath the blade before using high pressure water, it will prevent you from being coated in mud and debris in the event you receive back spray. If this is not possible, one can purchase a 6” or 8” bench grinder and replace one of the stones with a wire wheel of the same diameter and clean the blade with that. Once thoroughly cleaned and dry it is a good idea to check them for trueness. If they are bent it would make no sense in going any further with that specific blade. Replace. Once one has ensured the blade is clean and straight, now it can be properly sharpened. Try to maintain the factory angle (most are a 30 degree angle) when sharpening. It is also a good idea to try to remember approximately how much pressure is maintained during the process as well as how many passes it took to obtain the sharpness you are looking for. Try to the best of your ability to repeat this exact process on the opposing side of the same blade. This will make it much easier and more efficient to balance the blades once you have obtained the edge you aimed for. If you don’t have a blade balance, you can take the blade of a screwdriver or something similar and place it in a vice or some other method of securing it, making sure it is as level as possible. Measure the length of the mower blade and split that number in half, take that measurement and make a small mark in the center of the blade at that point. Ensure to mark it perpendicular to the secured balancing object. Place the blade on the secured object perpendicular to it and ensure it sits directly on the mark that’s made in the center of the blade. The side that dips is the heavy side, continue to sharpen the heavy side or take a very small drill bit and continue to drill a hole at the outside edge of the heavy side until balanced. It will in-fact balance out with patience. The purchase for a blade balancer can be anywhere from an economical to a professional style on Amazon or elsewhere. As well the same can be said for the purchase of an economical blade sharpening device to a professional quality one. The items I have attached are only for your awareness and should not be taken as something you should purchase. If you are interested you should take the time to research each of the items attached as there are different manufacturers for each product. They range from economical to professional. In the event you end up deciding to purchase one of the styles attached, the one you choose should be based upon your own research and decision. The balancer that is marked as the BEST option (MAG-1000 Professional Blade Balancing Instrument) is the one I currently own. It has a shiny steel rod that has a bend in it, this rod is what is utilized to check each blade for trueness. It will make it easier for you to identify a bent blade, by how much of a bend, as well as where the bend is. Any balancer with this rod lets one know that they can check for bent blades. I hope this helps you out, and anyone else who reads this thread in choosing a device if you either, were not aware of them or already have them. Get a suction motor or hand pump
Will never be as effective as draining upside down.
@@KillingItCountry I believe you
Did you get a new hood for the Koda bx tractor yet
Hahaha not yet 🙄
Rust-oleum "Sun Yellow" is a great match for JD Yellow. It's only 6.95 here in Florida. I actually like it better as it's just a touch deeper yellow.
At that price, I like the color too!!!
Best purchase i ever made bx23s ,im now starting to collect all of its attachments. MIGHTY LITTLE TRACTOR🇨🇦✅️
Great option. I notice in your other video where you are loading and unloading the dump trailer behind the BX25D (ruclips.net/video/r9UUxWHHoPo/видео.html), that as the trailer is dumping and reaches a 'tipping' point where tongue weight goes negative then the hitch moves upward a bit. With just a nut on the very top of the threaded rod, and on the very bottom of the rod, the only force being controlled is the downward tongue weight. Once the tongue weight goes negative as the dump trailer pulls up on the ball, then there is flex introduced to the hitch connection under the tractor. A suggestion would be to use two additional nuts on the threaded rod... one below the backhoe plate (tightened against the plate) and one on top of the receiver hitch. This will lock the receiver in place so you have stability in both the loaded and unloaded tongue scenarios. It seems this will prevent flex and potential failure under the tractor at the hitch plate connection. Just a thought. I intend to adopt your system, with the additional nuts I've mentioned. Thank you!
You’re absolutely right in that the added nuts will add stability. My dump trailer has a removable tongue which doesn’t help. A lot of the movement you’re describing comes from this feature. Thanks so much for the excellent comment!! Best of luck with your design and happy tractoring!!!
Need to take that seat and have it recovered with saddle leather! Then it would match your hat better!😊
Now that would be sweet!
Best paint job for the mower deck- Get it POWDER COATED! That’s tougher than any industrial paint!😊
I know that you’re right, unfortunately, sometimes doesn’t make sense to invest any money into machines that are this old and rough. I just put her away on them and keep them running by doing the bare minimum. In my opinion, that’s all a John Deere deserves.
Excellent video. Learned a few things. Thank you.
Good job
Good for another 5 years easily 👌
@DrummerDelight it’s holding up great!!!
Would have liked to see the ROPS raised after backing out of the garage. To be seat-belted with the ROPS down just compounds the risk. Not a troll, just an engineer who thinks risks are to be managed.
I was a Coast Guard Engineer for 16 years and I’m now a career firefighter … some people need seatbelts. This isn’t a “how too” video but I appreciate your comment.
I see a concern about using other equipment hydraulic attachments , other then Kubota ?
This unit doesn’t come with rear remotes so you wouldn’t be able to use hydraulic attachments even if they were Kubota lol. There are some work around solutions online to modify the backhoe hydraulics to run remotes.
Its fine alittle more wont do much,at times i add alittle more on my mariner 60hp 2 stroke and my force 50hp outboard,i also simetimes put a higher octane gas as well,my outboards run great even with alittle extra, take care god bless
Neat lil mower, a trim up mower following the big ones. My grass is still brown! Cheers buddy 🍻🌴
Thanks for this review! Just the thing I needed!
Enjoy the mow!!! 😝
I'm back James 007 😇👍Very Nice Looking E Lawn Mower 👍😇👌Yes in my Arvida neighborhood, some have E Lawn mower is very quiet and odorless too 👍😇👌Nice Field Testing 👌😇👍 OUTSTANDING INFORMATIVE VIDEO 👍😇👌Cheers 🍻🍻
I wonder if I can get a cab on this thing??? 🤨 😆
@@KillingItCountry 🤣🤣🤣🤣 👍👍
It's so cute! Well done i can see that being perfect for some people. Thanks for sharing.
LOL “Cute” 😂 … it surprised me!!
Hello, do you know where the tension spring goes hooked up to? Mine broke and mower won’t drive anymore.since it broke I’m unsure where it hooks up to. Part GX20018. Thanks!
Hello! Are you talking about the spring that controls the idler pulley under the machine?
Good to see you are still around....
Life gets busier every day I swear lol
It looks good in small areas or where you can't get the tracotor. The space to store a second battery is a good idea.
I’m so surprised by it!
Its so light, would be great for my hilly property on the spots the lawn tractor won't reach... Definitely good for the city folks. And with a 5 year warrantee, the company is betting on themselves, which is a good thing.
For sure! Whodathunk it??? It’s the Tesla of lawnmowers!
Pretty cool James, I think it would be perfect for homeowners in the city with a small lot 👍🏻, especially those in townhomes where you have to bring the mower from the garage to the backyard through thee house, light weight and portable 👍🏻. Great review 👍🏻. Have a great week 👍🏻🙋🏼♂️🙂
I agree Luc … options!!! It’s nice to have options.
Good Day James 😇👍👌I'm so happy that you are Back MAAAAAN 👌👍😇I'm paying my monthly bills on the net and I will return right after Mon Ami 😇👍👌🍻
Avoid the late fees!!!
@@KillingItCountry 👌👌😇😇🙏🙏
Nice little lawnmower for someone the city for sure. It would be nice for someone that doesn’t like dealing with gas and spark plugs and maintenance. Easily started and used. Nice little mower. Thanks for sharing James.
It’s a nice little unit! It’s the mower I’d own if I lived on a small piece of land!
Electric is the way to go - have used for years. Great thing to get the girls to help with that chore!
I think they’d love this mower!! I’ll get them on it this summer!!
That would be sweet for some tight places.
That’s what I’m saying!!!! 👍
Good afternoon James
Hello Sir!! How are you this fine Monday?
Very helpful. Thank you!
You’re very welcome!
A lot of these still on the road, they are overall very reliable.
Do you live in an area where they put salt on the roads in the winter? We do. There are almost none left on the roads here because they’re cheaply built and rot away to nothing.
Great video, except for how frequently you started and stopped the tractor. You're killing me 😂
It’s true - the worst thing you can do to a diesel is start it. Thanks for watching!
I didn’t see any grease nipples on the the spindle assy on my L120. You know why?
There should be one for each spindle. Is the deck clean and free of clippings / debris? Sometimes they’re a real pain to see and access with the grease gun. If the nipples aren’t there … can you find the threaded holes? Maybe they rattled out 🤷♂️
@@KillingItCountry ohh ok, they can be added just like you replaced it, I’m assuming. Thanks for the video I was able to help a widow with her mower to get it serviced and going.
Will try to install some angled ones if I can find the fitting.
