Stories like this make me SO PROUD I can knit, and crochet. It's hard to explain, the feeling you get from a finished project and the look on a face that's been gifted with something lovely that you made with your own hands.
You are a treasure and make sure to teach your kids else this great skills will die
How could anyone not love this video. I had a Cowichan Sweater for years and now my best friend owns it.
Beautiful! ...the sweaters, the process, the tradition, the knowledge. These are the true treasures of humanity.
All her sweaters look sooo warm. And they're all beautiful.
I bought one of these sweaters 30 years ago when I first came to canada and boy I can tell you it is as beautiful now as it was then .In fact it looks like new still..Wonderful craftsmanship by these ladies.I do hope the young girls keep up this traditional wear.
I just bought a gorgeous genuine Cowichan sweater. It's already my most prized clothing item.
Absolutely breath taking. Congratulations!! Beautiful tradition artform and sharing it with generations to keep it alive and to revere it's true meaning...of your people, culture and LOVE that God has shown thru your talents.
