Just being able to see this alone with the splendiferous explosion of rich pattern and color is a treat beyond compare - but actually getting to listen to Kaffe Fassett has filled my heart with joy today. Thank you for the ongoing inspiration through all the years, and all the years to come.
I wasn’t expecting much from s five minute video but that was just lovely I didn’t feel like he was trying to sell anything but simply he was pouring his heart out to us It’s simply wonderful how he learned to knit Lovely Thank you
I love how empowering and encouraging Kaffe is for all knitters. But also, his view of Rowan, which is spot on - a company that understands that knitting is fashion and style.
He has a wonderfully relaxed way about him. His voice is almost hypnotic....it sends shivers down my spine. I honestly believe that even if he was reading the telephone directory out loud I would still be captivated by his voice. Aaahhhhh..... 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Your first Rowan book is still my mainstay tho, after making two sweaters from it, I am liberated from patterns and design as I knit. You liberated me. Wilkes Bashford in San Francisco priced my sweaters at $1800-$2500. Luckily he spent his budget in Milan and cancelled as each one took months to make.,You set my soul afire and I always longed to visit you in London. I hope you knit til the end of time and keep producing books.
I love knitting and crocheting and tatting- and I love working with color, fibers, and creating textures and patterns that please the eye- I love Kaffe's books and Brandon Maybly's as well- they are so beautiful- the patterns are so beautiful- the colors are so amazing- great interview
I agree with you .Always loved his work have about 6 of his early books. .Havent made any of his garments just find his use of colour magical.Would love to try his tapestry chair it’s in one of my books
Dear wonderful knitter. I love handcraft and am currently working on a crochet jacket. but your work is sooooo amazing. I would love to buy one of your books. Where?
You Tuber yes it looks very tedious to say the least! I m learning knitting after being an advanced crocheter, and my biggest challenge is trying to figure out how to fix mistakes!
Color makes life bearable and you don't need a lot of money to decorate. If you have the time and the inclination, you can find bargains anywhere and a little paint to spruce them up.
Does anyone know the piece that is shown quickly that is a knitted item with stars on it? I would like to see more of that one if there is a link or a name to follow up with. Thank you in advance.
Perhaps someone can answer a question for me. Did Kaffe Fassett ever explore crochet? Did he ever put out a book on it? Looking at all the books and patterns he has created, he has certainly been involved in so many different fiber projects over the years. It seems a bit sad that he doesn't seem to get as much inspiration with crochet.
I am new in knitting and I am trying to make a sweater by kaffe fasset and I can not quite understand a part of the instruction: Please help. "Keeping patt correct, dec 1 st at each end of next and 4 [3: 2: 0: 0] foll 16th rows, then on 2 [3: 4: 6: 6] foll 14th rows. 90 [98: 108: 118: 128] sts. " Thank you,.

The one modeled by Kate Moss? He says in video that he called it the "Super Triangle Jacket" and in his first book called Glorious Knitting

Look at the stitches around where you are going to decrease, so to keep pattern you might need to knit instead of purl or vice versa
2010sampaguita you got me-I’m still a beginner too. I hope you figured it out!
