Nestor thinks higher of himself than we all do. He kind of burnt his bridge with some of his comments and action this year. He could bring us a little something trade wise and I think he needs to go.
I'm reading according to Scott Boras, Juan Soto is going to take his time in his decision. So it could be awhile til we hear who he is going to play for next.
Super disrespectful on his part and I would move on from him. This isn’t rocket science for him you’re cashing out make it happen asap for your future team Dude is very selfish.
What do we think the upper limit of the payroll will be? They’re at an estimated $239M for 2025 (Sportrac) for 35 players. The last CBT threshold is $301M. If Soto re-signs and gets $50M that’s leaves less than $12M to cover 2 IF spots and the pen - unless they’re happily going over the mark. I think they might but how much? 310M? Predicting signings without some idea of the budget is futile. All this also shows the real help keeping Soto nearer to Ohtani’s payroll value ($43M) would be to completing a championship quality roster.
I think the issue with Bregman and Adames isn't so much the QO as the cost. if they're going to go the FA route Kim would be my choice. He'll be less money, positional flexibility is good, more speed and contact are always welcome. I doubt Sazaki gets posted this year, there's no incentive for his current team to do so. Murakami makes a ton of sense though, the 2nd coming of Matsui... sign me up!
The pitchers who are Yankee material in free agency are Devin Williams Nathan Eovaldi Garrett Crochet Carl Edwards Jr. and Jose Leclerc get those 5 pitchers on the Yankees roster and you have an A+ grade in the book for pitchers
They should move him back to second base and pick up a natural third basement. Instead of playing two players out of position or are getting someone not as good at the position.
Breaking news! The Yankees are close to signing Soto, Burnes, Flaherty, Adames, Teoscar, Snell, Ruth, Winfield, Suzaki, Alonso, Bregman and Donaldson. You claim multiple signings I got multiples 😂
Would Soto be at all open to considering a move to CF? As we saw this year, Judge is a much better fit for RF than he is in CF clearly. This is obviously predicated upon him resigning here.
@michaelhelton3805 I'd agree with that but him being in CF is a liability currently with his negative DRS this year and it's also a long-term liability in terms of an increased possibility for injuries covering a larger area of the field IMO.
@@robertcropley7714 all of that is true but Soto is a even worse fielder. Putting Soto in center when he had always struggled in the corners would lead to atrocious defense up the middle. Judge is gonna have to play left field or learn 1st base
@michaelhelton3805 In a ideal world the front office would make an effort to retain the services of a Bernie Williams or Ichiro Sasuki type player that has former ties to the team to be a part of the coaching staff. I've been in favor of Gardner returning as a bench coach and he is certainly capable of offering a great deal of experience and assistance in this matter.
...Looks like the Yankees are letting Gleyber Torres walk. Now who will be our Yankees lead-off hitter? Gleyber was good at that! Need a good-hitting first baseman as well! Interesting to see what happens!
@@tomroyal6167 Yes, I agree! Jazz best position is second base. I do not mind him at third base though. He was pretty good with a strong Arod arm there! Maybe Caleb Durbin the tryout second baseman can be lead-off.
Jason, Great channel. I would love to have starting pitcher Jack Flaherty and Tanner Scott for bullpen help on the Yankees in 2025. The thing that worries me if the Yankees miss on Juan Soto will they do enough to make the team better? Time will tell. Go Yankees.
@ Like running hard to first base EVERY time, hitting the cutoff man, hitting behind the runner, shorten up w 2 strikes. For the umpteenth time, learn to manufacture runs. The caps are for emphasis, not trying to scream at you. Thanks for asking btw.
Hey Jason hope you and your family are doing well do you think the Yankees will go after Snell and resign Soto if they lose Soto hope they get Snell Tanner Scott Walker for 1st base and get someone for third and lf thanks my friend
The Yankees have zero Japanese talent players and that’s not a positive sign at all Roki Sasaki Munetaka Murakami and Ha Seong Kim would definitely suit the Yankees on the 40 man roster we definitely need them
Hi Jason, thanks for keeping us informed!
Hey Jason. I hope you are doing well. Thank you for keeping us updated on all the news
Looking forward to hearing thoughts on Saturday. I want them BOTH!!!! And theyll be had on "the cheap".
Sazaki will join his two countrymen on the Dodgers.
Thank you for all the updates

That would be my guess. We probably won't hear until early next year.

If Murakimi, 1st baseman from Japan becomes available, go hard after him.
YES THAT'S A GOOD ACQUISITION. 240 HOMERUNS AT 24 YRS OLD Hideki Matsui X's 10

Hi, out of Japan I prefer Munetaka Murakami yo
wassup Jason thanks for the updates

Your doing an awesome job
They can bring Spencer Jones up ‼️he hits bomba ⚾️💣
He also strikes out at a 39%

I have seen Murakimi listed as a 3rd and 1B. Any idea if he is a better 3rd or 1b?
Reports are saying he’s stronger at 1B.
He struck out 180 times this yr I'll pass thank you
@ Ohtani struck out over 160 times. Let’s not get hung up on that one stat.
@161riverave.4 He's no Ohtani

Soto is a liability fielding that’s why they put him in right field and Judge in center. Judge is faster, more athletic, and stronger arm
@michaelhelton3805 I'd agree with that but him being in CF is a liability currently with his negative DRS this year and it's also a long-term liability in terms of an increased possibility for injuries covering a larger area of the field IMO.

Id rather him in LF, Judge back to RF and Jasson in CF unless we find someone else for CF

Can we sign someone who isnt 36 please
I heard from another place pitcher that maybe they are looking at Arron the guy from the cards
If they can trade for Devin Williams, Ryan Pressly, or Kyle Finnegan, I'd go for it.
I think Jazz got a cannon of an arm good for third
blove, I agree 100%. Like Arod did!! I like Jazz at third base!

Good point. We need better fundamentals and Soto does not necessarily solve that.
I love Murakami, but he can get a better deal if he waits a year to come over.
So can Roki, but he’s coming.
Just throwing this out there for thoughts and opinions. How would everyone feel about Oswaldo at first full time if all else fails ?
I'm all for new blood etc, but it's the LACK of FUNDAMENTALS that killed NY. If that doesn't change, signing Godzilla will not help.
@@ThatBrothaBill which fundamentals?

Signing Godzilla worked well before…
@ Yeah well I’d LOVE to have Matsui in left as he was clutch in the post

Don’t we get some sort of draft pick for our rookie winning rookie for the year?

What about Massey?
WHO??
Trade some arbitration guys for international bonus pool money, then throw the entire international bonus pool at Sasaki.
Trent is a great bench and back up
Crochet?
Depends on the price.
