Dang, just realized in all the Yakuza games. You start off fighting yakuza members, then you start fighting corrupted CEO's of private corporations, then you start fighting corrupted politicians the further you go lol.
shibusawa, nishiki, ryuji, mine, daigo, aizawa, iwami uhhhh they were all yakuza except maybe iwami who inherited the yomei alliance so are you talking about in general or what
by the way both Kiryu and Ryuji in 5:14 intro? They both have gunshot wounds and they still have one last match. Also it was still a fun fight when Kiryu fought both Akiyama and Tanimura. Both of them are playable heroes of Yakuza 4. It just shows Kiryu is the main character of the series that he can kick the asses of the other heroes. also Judgement is a side series, not directly tied to the yakuza story besides setting.
If you decide to do more Yakuza videos, you should do reactions to Heat Actions (aka brutal fighting moves on enemies from arm breaking to teeth pulling to head smashing) and QTE actions. They're probably more accessible and more understandable to someone who hasn't played through the series.
I've found 0 to be the best so far with Y7 to be a close 2nd, yes it's turn based but great story. Y5 and Kiwami 2 get honorable mentions. Currently on Y6 loving that so far too.
The latest Yakuza is Lost Judgment but it only on console and it a spin off but the fighting feel the smoothest, the main line latest is Yakuza Like A Dragon but it's an turn base JRPG and the dev will follow that path, the best in the series is Yakuza 0 it maybe a prequel but it's the most famous and fighting is most fun and the story is straight forward.
Ok the franchise is a bit complicated, but here is the overview: Yakuza 0 to 7 - The main series. It follows chronologically the adventures and times of Kiryu. More recently it got Remakes and Rereleases on PC and console, so you no longer need a PS2 to play the first game. That's what the games with Kiwami in the name are. Ryu ga Gatoku Kensai! and Ishin! are spin-offs set in samurai times, using the same characters, but under different names. It's if the cast of the Yakuza games stared in a samurai movie. Never released in the west, only in Japan. A remake Like a Dragon Ishin! is being made and will release in the west. Judgement and Lost Judgement is a series following Takayuki Yagami a disgraced lawyer turned private investigator as he hunts for the truth behind a serial killer. People took a bit of issue with the 40+ main character pursuing romantic relationships with more than one 18-19 year-old girl. It's hard to root for the main character when he comes off like a bit of a cradle robbing creep, but I throw it to cultural differences. Yakuza: Dead Souls - average zombie game with maybe one the the funniest plot twists ever. Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise is a spin off using the Yakuza engine and combat. It lacks some the content and polish of a main series game, but it's still a really good Fist of the North Star game. Oh and the series was known as Yakuza only in the west in Japan it was always Like A Dragon. It seems that they will be switching to this name in the west too, as the next Yakuza game will be named Like a Dragon 8. Oh almost forgot. There were 2 PSP spin-off games where you play as a teenage gangster. Had to cut a lot of stuff to get it to run on a PSP, but it was still a good game. Never released in the west, but cracked and fan translated versions were available.
@@UrPPhard Yeah, 7 was meant to be a new beginning with a new character, but Kiryu is still in the game and the game creators themselves admit that they botched ending his story in 6. So I kinda bundled it together with the rest. To be fair I am not wrong given that we are getting Kiryu in 8.
I'm playing the series so far and right now my favorite final boss fight is Masato Arikawa and the reason is that it has a deep meaning and during the adventure ichiban beats up bad guys like monsters from an rpg and when the fight occurs he's switched back to his brawler class automatically to show that this is serious and he doesn't see Masato as a monster
i actually really liked you trying to pronounce the bosses' names, it made the video funnier btw, whats with the cutting in between your reaction and the actual video? its not annoying me or anything but just curious
Yo wtf they didn't include Saejima's fight with Yamaroshi? Lame. Would've been funny. Also, the screen said Judgment and you asked if that's Y0 was killing meeeee. I recommend finding Lost Judgment dynamic intros because that's the latest game, it's insane. For the question at the end: Judgment and Lost Judgment are the best tbh but Yakuza 0, 5 and 7 are top for main series.
@@FootdribblerReacts Seeing how you reacted to all the dynamic intros, I thought you should see all of them But perhaps you should do 24 hour Cinderella Fun fact: Kiryu’s voice actor ( you know, the guy that looks pissed through all the video) is an actual singer

Yakuza, the only series where men fearlessly take off their clothes to engage

@@FootdribblerReacts I still feel storyline wise. Yakuza like a dragon is the best one.

Doesn't Kiryu's saga end at 6? I only got to Kiwami 2, but I'm pretty sure that in 7 Kiryu is just a character, it's not his main story anymore

Yakuza 3's Dynamic Intro is probably my favorite, partially because it's also the first dynamic intro in the series. Original 1&2 didn't have them.
