  • In this episode, Patrick Miller speaks with Elise Groulx Diggs about international criminal law and mediating human rights and environmental disputes. They discussed Elise’s long career involving international legal issues, from her work helping to establish the International Criminal Court to her recent efforts to help mediate disputes involving international business and affected stakeholders. They discussed the Conflict Management Committee rules she recently developed which are aimed at addressing potential human rights and environmental grievances in large infrastructure projects. A key to the CMC system is their ability to address and resolve grievances early in the dispute, while there still remains a degree of trust between the parties.
