Wow, I mean, wow. Very harsh on his instrument, so not to my taste usually, but he has an incredible richness of sound, impeccable technique, and such a driving momentum in his playing, such control!!! You never feel that the speed gets out of hand, it all seems like he is in perfect command. Utterly brilliant🤩
For all that people who says that the video is alterated regarding the speed, I can ensure that this video hasn't been modified by anyone. I recorded this video from the Spanish tv.
Thank you so much for posting this, I can`t believe to see this gem of my old hero! His records with his amazing tone inspired me to become a violinist. I just love his vibrato and his bowing technique- little harsh at times but always 100% precise!
@@heifetz14 I edit videos. You can see some artifacts that point to the fact that the video is sped up. I am also a violinist and In my opinion it is in fact sped up
@@luxio6765 Thanks for your reply, but I just checked the pitch with the written score. The first not should be D natural, which is what we hear in this video.Give your open D a pluck to check for yourself.Sadly he passed away recently. One of the greats.
@@heifetz14 Pitch is right, speed is not. You can speed up things without changing pitch. In my opinion the video was converted from vhs in a wrong way and it caused some problems.
@@luxio6765 Well that was my point, sort of because if it was from vhs then speed must match the pitch. If the doubt is caused by the fast playing, then that is misleading. This is not that fast compared to other violin music. An interesting debate, but RIP Igor Oistrakh.
The audience reaction says it ALL!! Simply INCREDIBLE!!

@@davideugenioarcos3531 hi dude
Yo vi este concierto en directo... Hace una eternidad.....
Gracias por darme la oportunidad de volver a disfrutar del bis
Que maravilla de experiencia!
Not exactly Kreisler's noble style, but music is the fusion of composer and artist, and pairings are unique.
Noble is a totally opposite word to Kreislers style
Wunderschön,
Bravo,bravo,bravissimo
Fantastic playing
