Yes that’s the point of the Russian church choir is to sound like angels. To come to church is to have a glimpse of what heaven will be like. Soviets continued with this theme and built Moscow train stations like palaces so ordinary workers could glimpse what it would be like to live like a king a couple of times a day.

This is the text of Pushkin's poems. here the thin voice is the horn (trumpet) of the commandant, who wakes up the military after sleep in the morning 5 hours later. the hero, perhaps an officer, awakens to the sound of a trumpet, with a volume of Dante in his hands, which, having fallen asleep, did not finish reading. in the veil of awakening, he is overtaken by languid thoughts about life, about the past and the future. Perhaps there will be a battle and this day may be the last.

@@jeancarnegie4332 you were young in the 90s and 00s you haven’t heard those terms before?
This is life. The brilliant composer was inspired by a poem by a genius poet. The choir conductor trained singers. So much work has been put in! All the delight about the singing of the young solo singer and about the boy with a red mullet on his head.
true
C'est impressionnant , j'adore ❤❤❤
Bravo à ces jeunes Russes 🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
Boy sings like a god coming to earth to pass judgement, looks like an uncomfortable teen who just jumped outta bed.
I actually thought something similar. They sound like a bunch of angels, as soon as they leave rehearsal they are prolly teen pre-delinquents 😆
I mean, some of their hairdos, dude!

It do bethat way often enough XD
Beautiful how much is rolled into everyone's character even if you never see it

You just emerged from a swamp...
Everyone: talking about the Bois
Me: trying to make sense of what the conductor is conducting
Didn't you know that conductors conduct choirs too?
I was wondering too, but I guess it does make sense, just not to us. I play in an orchestra and sometimes the conducter doesn't even conduct anymore, he just kind of waves his hands somewhat fitting and we all know what to play.
@@luciew.1708 yes that's what I meant
They definitely weren't keeping tempo, lol
He's conducting the choir. Even if you can't see them singing, some are humming. You can tell it by the way they are moving their mouth. I was in a choir before for 3 years, it helps to look at the conductor to guide in modulating your voice and tempo.

I was surprised by his voice, wow! Not what I expected at all but very glad I watched! I could listen to him singing all night!
Shocking
But it so so beautiful, I loved the effect the rest of the choir gave him
idk how i reached the heavenly part of youtube but im glad i did
soul stirring! Beautiful! The world needs beauty.
that kid by the door carried this whole thing
U can see the bass kid trying his best to compete against his godly opponent. Its like the whole group vs him. The bass kid even has the face like "u can't defeat me and my army".

Zorya is being beaten... out of my hands
The old Dante falls out,
On the lips of the begun verse
The half - read subsided -
The spirit is flying far away.
The sound is familiar, the sound is alive,
How often have you been heard
Where quietly developed
I've been around for a long time sometimes.1829
Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin
Probably you need to live in those times to understand 100%
Zorya beat means beat daybreak, it was famous military drum signal. It consisted of different signals: agenda, dawn (zorya), roll call, to prayer, prayer.

Children who studying in those schools usually wear basic white shirts but yeah these are pretty
@Amida Butsu In the Church, according to the Testament of the Apostle Paul, married women usually cover their heads with a scarf, hood, or cap, while men, on the contrary, remove their hats from their heads. This tradition is still observed, but it is not rigid. In churches, there is usually a stack of clean headscarfs at the entrance, which can be used to cover the shoulders and head or tie them around the waist if the skirt is short.
@Amida Butsu it’s not a bandana.. educate yourself
I would like to go but I've heard that it's not a safe place to lgbtq+ people, and I'm part of the community so... :(

The boy with a voice like a songbird is a great contrast to that rich deep bass. Truly amazing.
Perfeito!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
It's an amazing combination 🤩
You are right, the combination sounds amazing, but the blond guy is definitely not a deep bass. He has an amazing tone but at least in this piece he is singing in a nice baritone range. And the ease of the high notes indicates that he indeed is a baritone instead of bass. Not meaning to lessen the performance here! It is really nice to listen to! Just not deep bass ;-)
@@narshtaph Is to young to said that! He has 17 to this recording! His voice wi'll change . To be basso ou need the have an definity voice builded ...

I could never understand why the Russians were so good in these classical arts, literature, music, voice, dance. Reading 19th century novels, plus reading background of ballet, dance here and there, it seems even the peasants were interested, were good at obtaining a high level of craft. Not all countries respond with such outpouring.

adherence to tradition..coupled with centuries of suffering can yield some pretty divine n transcendental art
Sometimes priorities are not the arts but other things.
