  • I'm this video I restore a Mobler inspired coffee table that I purchased from an antique shop. The top was sealed and veneer repairs were made.

    What a gorgeous baby!!!! She looks so rich & simply shines. Loving the wood color!!! Those tiles almost look like rusted tin tiles-to me. Amazing detailing to every inch of this baby!! Fantastic craftsmanship!!!❤️✨❤️

    I was surprised that the shelf hardware was exposed in the original, normally it was hidden or they covered it with something decorative. I personally like hardware, so I love that you touched up the paint and moved on! The casters are great!!!

    SO glad you made a point about paying attention to the bottom of pieces. I am often worried that they aren't cleaned or 'finished' by many folks.

    This is wonderful! My mother had serving dishes with that pattern in the early ‘70s. You did a great job of bringing this table back to life. I slow-clapped for the poem. Painting the screw/bolt things black and putting black ball casters is perfect!🌸

    Well that tile work is definitely 1970’s. I remember those designs and colours very well. It reminds me of my mother’s stoneware dishes. I actually really like the style though. The shelves would be great for books and ornaments. Nice work.

    I recently found a coffee table with slate pieces around the sides and a wooden frame on top with wood in the center. It has a wood shelf and a metal frame. I got the puzzle back together and it is beautiful. Thank you for sharing all of your talent.

    Once I heard you rhyme, I paused the video so in I could chime... Very much appreciate you dropping some poetry even though you might not think it's a big deal... glad you chose to use a quality product for the tile & grout to seal!!! If I had a seat on the judge's panel, a top 10 I would give this project & to the Channel!!! Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!

    Interesting! as this is definitely not the style that I would go for, but I LOVEEEE this coffee table!! especially the tile top (the part that I'd normally would not go for) I would not mind having this piece at home! 🥰

    That being said... I simply don't like that style.
    But, that is just a personal preference, and I am sure you will find a great home for the table... with people who DO love it!

    Love this. I clapped for the poem and the +5 comment. Have you used the QCS stripper on paint and if so, how well does it work?

      I have! I used it on the two blue side tables I did recently and the long gray low boy dresser. Worked really well! The only thing I have not tested it on is blonde lacquer and a properly primed piece. Thank you Lisa!

    It looks very similar to the teak Scandinavian furniture that was sold in the early 80s. Just a guess of course.
