What a beautiful jewel!! So much history. Unless you need the money to purchase another home, I would keep it and maybe make it into a bed and breakfast, I would think you could make back the money you've invested and still be able to own a piece of history. I'd look into the little castle's past. Great restoration job

@Mike Fernandez Well he did add a hideous staircase to the front of it... its not a 'historical castle' its a Georgian folly. It was never meant to be lived in. One could argue he ruined it anyway, it looked better as a ruin...

This is what is known as a folly, a small ornamental building that is eye catching but not generally functional. In this case he has made it functional.

Not so functional if you plan to live till old age....They should sell it while they can.

I don't understand how the outside looks so much larger than the inside. Thick walls?
Old buildings have super thick thick walls I was surprised to when I saw a nearly 100 yo building demolished. The walls were so thick and yet the house was huge and spacious good ol' days man
Theyve made it look bigger from the outside - it really is small even from the outside
Proper castle walls are usually 4 meters thick, but it looks like the walls in this one are just a meter.
Old buildings used to have very thick wall because of insulation, it was to keep the warm in in winter and the cold in in summer

Believe me as someone who has grown up renovating homes. In our family's case at least, and often the case, you do not realize how much work needs to be done at first. And usually by the time you are finally done, it is time to move on. The house we have now we bought it as a repo, knowing it needed some work maybe 6 months or so, 4 YEARS later it was finally livable and 7 years later and we still have odds and ends we are trying to settle. Now my youngest sister got married recently and moved several states away, and it maybe time to move to be close with her, so my parents can enjoy the grandbabies when they come. That us how life is. Always surprising you.

He's the king of the castle and I'm the dirty rascal.
Crash into me~
Haha haven't heard that in a while!
I remember this caslte from Grand Designs, even when they renovated it they had two kids and only built two bedrooms, I remember thinking even then theres no way they are staying there for long
I was thinking the same, if it was the same property on Channel 4's Grand Designs , good episode.
2 prospective buyers.. Burger King and White Castle.
And 'Cash Is King' Najib Razak

I heard Skeletor is a very motivated buyer
Ignorant American centric comment from an ignorant American.

BEAUTIFUL. Now all I need is to win the Euro millions to buy it 🙏🙏
It looks very comfy and beautiful. He did such an amazing job.
The decor does not suit the architecture.
Agreed. Not a big fan of the renovation
I would buy this in a heartbeat if only I can afford it 🥺
Well this guy couldnt. It broke him....he had to borrow from his parents to finish it.
Bravo Jaime on your tasteful restoration of a neglected 'folly'. You are a credit to your nation (Spain?) and a valuable addition to ours.. Wishing you and your family a long and well earned tenure in your beautiful Castillo.
Buckinghamshire....
