Thanks for this Capt. Russell. I'm switching to these wire slide divers this year to solve last year's dismal production from wire divers on my boat. Its normally just the wife and I fishing and I could not run more than 7' of leader because of the difficulty netting with longer leaders on divers. The short leader really killed my presentation with the clear water on Lk MI and I had very few hits due to this. Good luck to you this upcoming season!
Great content as usual my friend. If you are running flashers with this setup how far apart are you running the flasher from the diver and whatever bait/lure you are using
Hi Russell, Is it okay to use a knot like you show in this informative video to add a length of line to the end of the wire to allow spooling all the wire onto the reel even if you're not using a slide diver? My thought is you could always reel the wire onto the reel rather than having to rely on keeping the line taught in the rod when not fishing. The swivel could go on the end of the length of line, be that line braid, mono, fluoro or whatever. Thanks Russell!
Good video- do you have any issues with the slide diver tracking as well as mag divers for deep applications(say 80+ feet)? It’s seems like, with a long lead, they don’t pull as hard to the side.
The 18 foot braid you use is comparable to the 25 foot 50 pound mono I use. I can wind most of the nonwire line onto the spool and break down the rod for storage. That is important to me and my Tyee.
Your Albright knot. You just wrap braid from the loop back? So just around the 7 strand main line and tag? No issues I assume? Most I see most I see have you pull a inch back, pinch and wrap up to the loop, around main line, tag and braid then back through the loop. I like your way better.
I’ve seen the surgical tubing placed on the spring arm in most pictures. Does it hold braid more securely to place it in-line with the arm clamping down?
Great video.. I use a magnum lite bite slide diver for my wire setup. Is there an advantage to the standard magnum slide diver instead of the lite bite?

Thank you. Perfectly explained. I'll be running them this season since I fish alone alot
Trying my first one this season. You have been very helpful in my quest for the shiny beast!
Anything i can do to help
Awesome video! I hear about wire divers all the time. I've got to get in that game.
New sub. Very useful and detailed. Have to try it out! I have 30 braid now. Too light?
What is the reason for using a 18’ section of braid and a 6’ mono leader vs just running a 24’ section of mono to the flasher swivel?

Is there a depth chart for a wire slide diver or a rule of thumb to go by for depth?

Do you add a stubber with a slide diver? I have braided line with a 100’ mono leader. Will that mono have enough stretch to it?
No
Do you recommend taking off the tail release? I noticed you removed the ones for the video. What function does it really serve?
Excellent video!

What do you think about using a snubber at the mono?

Yes
On a cw303d with a 1000' of 7 strand. How much 50lbs backer braid do you put on first?
I use 30# mono and 25 yards
Do you not use the plastic tube or. Spring tube that comes with the driver using this set up
I’ve seen the surgical tubing placed on the spring arm in most pictures. Does it hold braid more securely to place it in-line with the arm clamping down?
Don’t need it with new divers
Great video.. I use a magnum lite bite slide diver for my wire setup. Is there an advantage to the standard magnum slide diver instead of the lite bite?
the lite bite offers the extra arm for a more sesitive diver
Would you recommend using a snubber or does the mono take its place?
With slide divers I have never used snubbers but you def can
Thank you
Do you sell accessories kit separately?
Yes will be on the site by the weekend
