I definitely want to try this next spring. This will be my 4th year out learning to troll and having success each time out now. This will be one more technique in catching more fish for us.
Hey Russell, Awesome videos!!!! I’ve learnt sooo much from you and others like your self that take the time to make these informational videos, My question is do you get tangled when catching a fish on double divers or do the lines somehow stay apart, I run your 6 rod spread with 2 leads, 2 divers and 2riggers but I find that sometimes my Dipsy gets into my long lines while a big king takes it, do you have this problem with double divers and do I need to let one out while the other is hooked up? Thanks
Wish I saw this years ago. If the line wraps around the diver release is that because you let it out too fast? Can you provide a video for storing and how to manage the divers when you want to pick up and move? Thank you. Great stuff.
Great video Russel. Thanks! Does the outside diver always go out less (71’) than the inside diver or (91’) or was this just how you were fishing that day?
I fish Lake Erie does the inside diver have to be wire. We run all braid as of right now. Our inside diver rod holders are currently on the back with the rods facing outward to give divers space which works but looking to upgrade to a 6 rod spread instead of 4. Upgrading to cannon tracks and rod holders on the side gunwales. I am thinking run 2 dipsys on each side to open up back of boat for riggers. Was wondering if you could run double braid divers on a side with spacing and different rod lengths thanks
Back into fishing after 10 year hiatus and a move to NW Georgia. Two lakes reservoirs with deep water (400' feet by dam) stock walleye. I'm thinking I need to troll for these fish as they are probably not sitting on bottoms and instead chasing bait fish more like stripers. There are significant drop offs from the shore line in most of the lake I am targeting. I don't have a kicker motor but have a 112lb thrust Minn Kota for my trolling. What kind of speeds are you normally trolling at?
@@RussellsFishingTech Thank you. Just starting out salmon fishing. Was able to get few in boat last year. Your videos are very helpful. Think you are gonna help me get more in the boat this year. Thanks again.

Outstanding video Russell.
Well explained. Sometimes my divers get tangled.
Awesome advice! I feel like I’m gonna have a killer spread now on the lake this year!
Beat explanation I ever heard on this topic- thank you!
Thank you Russell for teaching us the correct way

Great video one of your best thats good stuff
Never seen the inside out before outside... why.. I set outside to inside. But why do it this way. Jusf asking about the difference or benifit..
Excellent presentation! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Nice video and explanation. Question....why wouldn't you put your high diver out first, since it's farther out and on the 4 setting? liked and subbed
You can do it either way most people have a harder time resetting there high diver over there low so I wanted to showcase that
Nice demo!
Thanks Russell! I didn't catch a rod length on your braid dipsey. Can you run both rods the same length? Or will I have major issues?
major issues I prefer at least 1ft separation 2 is ideal. So a 10ft outside rod and 8ft inside really helps
Great video Russel. Thanks! Does the outside diver always go out less (71’) than the inside diver or (91’) or was this just how you were fishing that day?
not always as long as you have a the setting on back right they won't tangle based on line out
Awesome, thanks!!!
Awesome thank you
Awesome 👍👍👍
Excellent

When you set up for double divers on each side; how far do you space out your rod holders for high and low rods?
Ty Russell
Do you need roller guides with the 19 strand torpedo line or will stainless guides work
Hi Russell nice video just want to ask if I can use 2 dipsy diver same braided line and rod lengths same ?
No try to seperate them by atleast 1ft 2ft ideal so like a 10’ and 8’ rod
Thank you
Russ does diver color matter?
I have few problems running 3 Dipsys each side of the boat. 1/2, 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 settings.
3 is a lot but you could try 1/2, 2, 4
Russell. The inside diver rod is 8ft. Is the outside rod the same or should it be longer?
When running two divers on one side with the inside rod is 8 ft, is it optimal that the outside rod be longer?
How deep do you typically go with a high diver? I notice mine being set on 3 it doesnt go nearly as deep
They are deceiving while testing with a smart troll at 91 ft out a 4 setting was only 2 ft depth difference then a 1.5
What type and pound test line you recommend for dipsey divers when not using wire?
50# braid
What length leader do you use from diver to flasher?
15-18ft

I'm looking for 4 rods that I can use dipseys on for walleyes 2 on each side. What do you reccomend? Thanks.
Send me an email russell@russellsfishingtech.net
Are those rods the same length?
no 8 and 10
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Or just let the high diver out first.
He's teaching you how to reset them. If you get a fish on the high diver, do you reel in everything to start over?
TO MUCH JUNK!! CLUSTER WITH MULTIPLE FISH!!
